First Official Full 7 Simul Average (4.57 Clock Average)

5.02, 4.30, (5.13), 4.38, (4.30) = 4.57
Done in 1st Round of Spanish Championship 2023. First round I haven’t had to flip to check the back. Pretty happy considering it’s Nationals so added pressure. Unfortunately missed a C-U skip on the 4th but oh well it wasn’t a terrible time.

Wow nice job! I actually have a clock comp this Sunday where I'm going to debut 7sim. You have any tips for handling simul turning + nerves?

Thanks! Dealing with nerves is a very tough thing that I’m still not great at but I’ll give you a few tips. Try to not care, it’s very hard but try reminding yourself that one comp is not the be-all and end-all. Find what works for you, e.g. I find I’m more relaxed if I talk to people throughout the round to distract myself. Then for memo, make sure you don’t rush it too much, remember it’s not like BLD where your time matters, it’s all about accuracy. And finally, turn slowly but accurately. Good luck with your comp I’m sure you’ll smash it💪
