You can see why this is Matt's favourite song from Absolution
I thought Fury was. Matt wanted Fury added to Absolution (not as a bonus track) but Chris and Dom didn’t do it was 2 against 1 so Matt didn’t get his way. They play Fury a lot during warm up gigs and used to play it a lot near the end of tours because Fury is Matts favourite Absolute era song
Matt is absolutely infatuated with this song, you can see that whilst performing it he enters entirely into his own dimension. Beautiful.
If a choice has to be made between TSP and Fury, Fury is undoubtedly the better one.
When the final tracklist was being selected, "The Small Print" and "Fury" had to compete for one spot. Dom and Chris ended up voting for "The Small Print", thus beating out Matt's vote for "Fury". The band loves both songs, for sure, but it's tough to decide how much awesome goes into an album without upsetting some fans xD
couldn't they just ignore INTRO and the IMTERLUDE from the album and put this???
@@Mucydonia yeah I mean I don’t think intro and interlude are the reason they didn’t put TSP and Fury on the album. It’s not an issue of total tracks.
chris is member of muse too
I wonder why they didn't spot Chris in this video.
Cameraman
I adore this, like it speaks to me. Muse speak to me like no one else can. All their songs I can relate to at some point in my life and I KNOW most people will be the same but it feels so personal. Such a strange sensation. I adore this, I adore muse.
I mean nearly everybody thinks secretly that this is their best song, but it's really hard to find their best song. But Fury is defenetly top 3 :)
(For me personally Nr.1).
finest hour of these three guys. lyrics rivaling citizen erased. distortion elevated to maximum.
thank you muse.
Muse was Muse, is Muse and will ever be Muse!
If anyone gets it, then it's definitely him. Absolution will forever remain my favourite album by any band ever. Thank you, Muse.
Hearing this 2002 live and then the 2016 live, I've noticed the giant differences in Matt's voice..he's getting old :(
To me it sounds strong but it’s not right either
Well shitt homie we all get old
@@BigShotRob69u not me but I guess I'm just built different
i mean its different but in the 2016 one his voice is way better its so soft and just sounds so beautifull
@CQ CQ ikr thats true
This is : Fury Demo and Piano riff (Butterflies and hurricanes demo) live Montreux Jazz festival 2002.
and Apocalypse Please demo
Matt is giving it everything in this performance; veins popping all over his face
Still my fav song from absolution 😭😭
oh boy what an emotion
Someone said that matt wanted this song on absolution but chris and dom voted the small print over fury, which is absurd
Listened to this a million times and it's still amazing!
man! i love this song, i cant believe it's a b-side :( .... But what can i say? its muse
also they wanted the album as a whole and not only song for song
Thank you.. so ... much
this song makes me laugh with happiness every time I hear it, just wow!
THis is the best channel in youtube.
That day I turned 5 years old :)
totally agree
3:25 Matt: ...mmm...there i had to make the variation... ah, the fuck with that!
They're brilliant. eager for next album! =D
i just don't understand why they had to choose
So I guess this song was made a year before absolution?
+Super Cookie01 The middle riff dates back from 2000, the song is probably from around 2002 indeed.
+scndsky thanks for clarifying
Fleece & Firkin Bristol 2000 (dT1OlnvGKf4), after Uno.
you would have to be deaf not to like this eargasm! :P
for me it´s better that is a b-side because a lot of the best songs are b-side
It's a shame that it's hardly even a B-side....just a bonus track on a few editions of Absolution
webros16 now it is on the album
0:37-40 concertration + hate
how is this a b-side?
wait this was performed before absolution 😮
no one probably told them otherwise to put it on :p what a shame
@LuongoBrodeur130 Interpol don't come anywhere near Muse! I saw them both at Reading this year, and it was clear that Muse are far better!
you'll waste 20 years wind up alone demented !!!!
7 years? are you high?
Fuck I want to hear this song live instead of that shit of Revolt/Mercy
Muse should have saved all of their bsides (fury, futurism, glorious, etc) and made a new 2018 album which will make everyone happy
Oh fuck off lmao Muse's new album is great. You're just salty that they don't make a one single specific style that you like (and apparently nothing else).
mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
last year hasn't been muse!
That moment when the B sides are better than any of the material after Resistance.
hes singing so wrongly but i love it!
This is muse, last 7 years isnt muse
Kai Burns well they did just play showbiz, one of the best renditions, plus played a gig with all songs pre 2007 so erm yeah
shut the fuck up, muse supremist
