How did you start to teach them? How long did it take befroe at least a easy catch and then a first track and catch.

I have played Frisbee with all my dogs I have owned. when I got Kodi he was 11 months old and he had no idea what a Frisbee was or what to do with it. The first time I threw it, he just looked at it and then me. I took the Frisbee in hand and played with him and let him hold it in his mouth. Then small throws and he would get it and bring it back. Now if he is eating STEAK and you say the word Frisbee, we will stop eating and go to the door. The smaller dog Kadi just wanted to play because she saw her big brother playing. She is not as aerobic of a catcher as Kodi, but she gets some air now.

@@chrisntiwamccarthy4952 I have a guy rescued from death row He's about four a black mouth cur real athletic can jump runs. He is happiest when we're walking through the woods or even the neighborhood and he's hunting squirrels and rabbits. And he's really good at laying around and cuddling he's an amazing creature. And he snatches flies out of the air. Definitely got some prey drive however he doesn't seem to be interested in inanimate objects.
I've held this thing in my mouth at his level and shook it and tried to hand it to him he won't even take it. I'll just keep trying cuz I know that he'll love it when he gets it

I came from Colorado and the dog parked there always had people throwing balls and Frisbees and the dogs are good at catching them I think my other dog learned by watching others this guy is not exposed to that because the people around here don't do that so he has no role model. Or experience since he was a survivor as a Young Man and playing with toys she's not at all part of his makeup. When I get them to figure it out it'll be great it'll take some pressure off of me rather than having to put on so many miles in the forest we can just play in the yard and he can get even more agility from jumping. As far as your other dog goes I wouldn't cut her down or let anybody with their comments cut her down she's still awesome she's actually smart she doesn't waste any energy and she has extremely good skills for tracking and checking the angle to catch the thing on its way down that's amazing
