  • For this last quarter of the year, I’m focusing these Memoir Minutes on creative considerations and devices that novelists and writers of fiction are familiar with.
Two words for today: character development.
Yup, this is pretty damn important.
Especially considering that you’re not just the narrator of your own story but a key player in it as well.
You’re both the current you sharing from your wisdom of today and the prior you who experienced the thing you’re now writing about.
Given a memoir is a 360-degree view on an aspect or period of your life, how you come across on the page as the protagonist is a pretty big deal.
The other players in your life’s drama are also important and how you write them in is also important.
Catch today’s #memoirminute so we can dive into it.
