My heart is doing jumping jacks. I thank God my sister asked me to read this book. I devoured it in five days. Which is quick for me.I look at fasting a bit differently now. I love that this book is real because I failed and never wanted to fast again.... But I continued on. I desire a deeper connection with my Creator. O how I love him. Thank you all for words of wisdom... I can't wait to see where God takes me in 2024.
I myself have been on a fast, for two weeks now, maybe a little longer, fasting breakfast and lunch, and then eating dinner, The reason for my fast is praying for ministry in Africa, I am a missionary, prayer for salvation through Jesus Christ, and family, I don’t know how long I will continue this fast probably until I feel there’s a lot of breakthroughs in my ministry, it’s so important to fast like you said and stay in prayer while you’re fasting, and read your Bible, blessings to you and your ministry!
I am fast breakfast and lunch I’ve been doing that for a very long time, and it definitely keep the fire burning in your spirit, and you have more direct contact with God, the Holy Spirit!
Right now doing a fast and its challenging because I am trying to go longer and with water only. I am doing it for health reasons mainly but felt led to keep it spiritual too. All my fasts are for Him and with His strength. It never gets easier for me to fast. I enjoy food but need God. I'm not sure what God is going to do with this fast since my goals was to reset my health! Whatever He wants,I am here!!! 🥹💚😭😌
