@@scottysmulder464 Haha oh man, I remember that shit...especially being like 11/12 years old at the time, I was like "helllss yeaaahh!", lol. Actually, I also remember, I believe the place I bought it was Borders (when that still existed), and it was the only time as a kid I can remember where the cashier actually made a whole scene to my mother: "You know, this album has a 'Parental Advisory' sticker!! It's obscene, you know, what you're buying your son!"...and thankfully my mom, who while still being a great parent to me, was very very 'pro first amendment', let's say, was like "...Okay?? Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind...do you know how to scan that, now?" Lol
@@scottysmulder464 Nice, so I imagine a lotta shit the Kid was rapping about back then probably had something of a personal/local flavor for you, like you knew the places he was referencing and whatnot. I definitely rocked it on my Discman, don't think I had a Walkman (the tape version) other than the hand me down from my older brother, and whatever random tapes he had (I remember he had a Nirvana single on cassette, which was cool cos it had a b-side on the flip, lol)...unless of course you were just using "Walkman" in the general sense, since it sounds a lot cooler than "Discman", haha

This is my favourite song by Kid Rock. So honest and truthful. 💪🏿 Although he said the word, but in the 90s it was still unsure whether white rappers could say it or not, but me as a Black man imma let it slide because the man was a drug dealer abusing his baby momma. So such characters don't deserve sympathy. 💯 But that doesn't mean imma let it slide everytime 😂 if you catch my drift.🤷🏾♂️ Anyways best soulful Kid Rock song of all-time.
Imho if it’s in a song it changes from a word to a lyric. The word still has meaning obviously, but the lyrics need to be respected if you’re a fan of the song.
Dope track Kid Rock's one mad talented 🎨.He taught his self how to play all these instruments. And man did he Rock show's.Seen him live in the Bay.Dope those times was sick.

I think this is easily the best straightforward hip-hop song Kid ever did--although its still got that acoustic guitar backing, it's used more like a sample, and the synth bass and drum loops are much more in line with 'traditional' hip hop production. Certainly his vocal delivery and the actual lyrics are much more old-school rather than 'rap rock' or the southern-fried type shit he tended towards later. I dig it, wish there was more like it

It's quite relatable cause my sister wants to have another child with a guy when she has 2 kids 1 she sees maybe 1 time every 6 months and the girl she has with her is 5 and attached to the phone so there isn't much connection with either but she wants 1 more to fill some void she has when no guy wants her for anything other then to nut and leave her lol ...
