Antigua Guatemala Semana Santa Easter Week Street View

Our Guatemala tour ended with the moving experience of the Easter Week parade in Antigua Guatemala. People buy tickets to have the right to carry the float. Sawdust carpets were made along the parade routes to be stepped over by the float--a replay of the last scene of Jesus Christ carrying the cross to crucifixion. There were many floats from different churches, so the whole city was filled with people, music and the floats.
The handicap people on wheelchairs lined the street praying for blessing. I believe some of the float carriers were there asking for the blessing of their family members too.
Sorry for the video quality. The clip was shot with our compact camera. But I was in a good spot with the full view of the parade.
