Why do people never understand that his name is the Doctor, just the Doctor. Not Doctor Who. Doctor Who is the name of the show.
It's because they were children in the 70s or 80s when they last watched the show, and that sort of detail has long slipped their mind. It's still inexcusable though! XD

The funny thing is that River Song mentioned that the Tardis always has the breaks on, and thats why it makes the noise. But, Matt Smith doesn't like breaking it seems.
Perhaps somebody told him that if the car appears to be out of control, the answer always is "POWER!"
