വിജയകരമായ ക്രിസ്‌തീയ ജീവിതത്തിനു വിവാഹം ഒരു അനിവാര്യമായ കാര്യമല്ല എന്നാണ് യേശു പറഞ്ഞത് . നോക്കു മത്തായി 19:11 " "സ്ത്രീയെ സംബത്തിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെയാണങ്കിൽ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നത് നന്ന് " ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ യേശു അതിനെ ശരിവെച്ചു എന്നുമാത്രമല്ല, ദൈവരാജ്യം നിമിത്തം ഷണ്ടനായിതീരുന്നവരെ പ്രകീർത്തിച്ചു പറയുന്നതുകാണാം. അപ്പോൾ പുതിയനിയമ "വ്യവസ്ഥ "celibacy " യാണ് പറയുന്നത്. വി, പൗലോസ് പറയുന്നു വിവാഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്ക് കല്പനയൊന്നുമില്ലെന്നുംഇതു എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം മാത്രമാണന്നുമാണ്. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നത് ഏറെ നല്ലത് എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞതും, ജീവിച്ചുകാണിച്ചതും. സ്ത്രീയെ തൊടാതിരിക്കുന്നത് മനുഷ്യന് നല്ലത് എന്നും, ദുർന്നടപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നു ബോധ്യമുള്ളവർ മാത്രം വിവാഹം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നുമാണ് സാർ. ഒരുവൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിലായാൽ പുതിയ സൃഷ്ടിയാണ്. ജഡത്തെ അതിന്റെ രാഗമോഹങ്ങളോടെ കുഴിച്ചിടപ്പെട്ടു എന്നും കാണുന്നു. കോരിന്ത്യർ 6:14 എന്താണ് പറയുന്നത്, " എല്ലാവർക്കും വേണ്ടി ഒരുവൻ മരിച്ചിരിക്കെ എല്ലാവരും മരിച്ചുഎന്നും, ജീവിക്കുന്നവർ ഇനി തങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടല്ല തങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി മരിച്ചുയാത്തവനായിട്ട് തന്നെ ജീവിക്കേണ്ടതിനു അവൻ എല്ലാവർക്കുംവേണ്ടി മരിചച്ചു എന്നും ഞങ്ങൾ നിർണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. "
എന്നുവെച്ചാൽ
" നാം നമുക്കായി ജീവിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നതിനു യേശു മരിച്ചു "" എന്നാണ്.
