When I think back to S Club's tour diary kind of series they did for think was a Saturday morning tv show (though don't quote me on exactly what it was shown on), for their 2nd tour as a group they all did a like behind the scenes of what happened before and after each show. They had Pauls one and for part of it he was talking about Hannah (who he of course is referring to in this if not stated directly) and he said 'she saved him' (not exactly word for word) and that was because he didn't find it very easy at all.
If I could find his episode (as I think the whole series is on RUclips) I could show that exact bit where he states that, to be honest knowing now how hard they were pushed I can completely understand, can't have done him any good bless him.
It's so sad. It seems he didn't find that special someone and now he's gone. RIP Paul

Paul is a treasure, his personality definitely made a piece of what S Club 7 was. The movie was great but it wasn't the same without Paul. I wish him and them the best. Love them all.

He grew old before his time! 😢 I never noticed as a kid, he was the best looking guy in the group - so sad to see him go just before they went on tour and he would have some good work again to steady his life out. Rest in peace Paul!

Paul seems to have always been a very likeable, genuine guy. I always found him wonderfully entertaining in sclub when I was kid. Very sad and unfair how hard he's had things.

I had a major crush on Paul when S Club 7 were at the peak of their success. I can totally relate to the bad luck in love situation, it has made me think that some people simply are meant to be alone. I hope that's not his case and he finds someone who appeciates him.

I found Paul to be so sweet and kind.
Sure, he may not have been the most confident guy in the world. But I'd rather a guy who is a bit more demure and approachable, than a guy who thinks he's too good for most females on the planet (if you know what I mean) or he is so confident that he is unable to show any empathy for shy people and such.
And then to hear the news about his sudden passing, it made me very sad. My heart went out to him and his loved ones.
I hope he did manage to find someone who made him happy in the last 3 years.
I also wonder though, if there was some kind of fear, aprehension, perhaps some depression lurking there.
And I wonder if that may have been behind what may have happened to him.
Despite the upcoming reunion tour, and Paul claiming to be so excited for it. I do wonder, though, if there was some kind of reservations also. Especially after watching this clip.

yeah they didn't make much. simon fuller really screwed them over i think - probably because the spice girls sacked him and he was trying to make up for the income he lost there. so gross and unfair though.
Each of the 7 got 600.000 Pounds though. You'd think they made more but to be early-mid 20s and get earn 600.000 back then for 4 years wasn't too shabby. It certainly was a great start, just not enough to retire.

I would have made the same face of shock. I had a massive crush on him and loved their music. And I grew up in Mexico. They were very famous there at the time.

I think Paul should’ve take the acting side of the group as one of the main things. When you are performing on stage as a performed is just that, you are playing a role, and S Club 7 taking the acting part as one of the main numbers he maybe could have take everything as an acting role.
But being in his shoes should’ve been chaotic I believe.
They did have great music after all, it changed style in every album but they alway kept the Motown songs as a stable. I actually love their songs and their harmonies. Paul’s song Love Train is Motown heaven. You did great man!!!!! You made our early years special, you did magic!!! Stay proud of you past, embrace your present ♥️

@@resnonverba137 actually he didn't blow it, it was too much so he stepped down.. crazy respect for him putting his own mental health first in a time when it was a taboo subject.. after sclub he did stage performances until he had an injury during a show which put him out of the game, since then he's been successful in his own right. I can guarantee he is in a better place then you are.

I can tell Paul is a right genuine, down to earth bloke. Not just because that's how he comes across anyway, but he actually had the balls to walk away from the industry as soon as he felt like too many liberties were being taken. Not many artists that do, most of them just bite their lip and take the money.

You're acting as if the band would still be some huge success today. They wouldn't. They'd be exactly what they are now...a washed up group that is only looked at fondly because the people looking back were 13 at the time they loved the group.

Yes it’s such a limited shelf life and although the bulk of the money is made by fuller and maybe the song writers they are worked very hard over a short period of time so the money they do make has to be invested wisely ,even if they bought a house or two outright and it all fails a few years later as inevitably it will they still have something tangible but look at bands like five star and see how easy it is to fall.
He seems a nice guy and as long as he can get by what an experience he can say he’s had ,that can never be taken away
