- How to set up Kyocera to Scan to email with gmail account.
NOTE: DHCP will automatically provide the Kyocera with network settings. If you dont have DHCP enabled youll need to configure this manually (this is not covered in this video)
Thanks voor de video. I only encountered a problem with the gmail password which gave me the error 0x1102 error after pressing test. Turns out google changed some security settings and now you cannot just enter your gmail password, but need to change some settings in your google account: turn on 2 factor authentication first, then create 'app password'. Fill this app password in the Kyocera webmenu under 'login password' instead of your normal gmail password. After that it works good.
Omg thanks dude
This helped. TY
Thank you it worked perfectly on my KYOCERA 2554ci
Perfect! Thanks for keeping this vid current!
Thanks very much for this, I've bashed my head against the wall trying to get it to work to no avail. Finally!
Thank you! very easy to understand and very helpful. Way better than the official description von Kyocera
Thanks a lot of the tutorial. I struggled only a bit with my gmail account, since the printer was blocked when it tried to access the gmail account. So you have to adjust a bit the security settings within gmail (let lower security apps access your account). After that it worked. The Kyocera manual is really bad in the explanation for this part.
I changed the password on my gmail account and my Kyocera M3540 Scan to email stopped working, so logged into Kyocera Command Center RX to update my password but I kept getting error 1102 when I tested the connection. I went to myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and Turned on access for apps that use less secure sign-in technology and that fixed it!! thanks
@Piotr Sikora
Thank you so much, this worked for me.
Thanks. This has fixed the 0x1102 error. I just wish the arsehats at Kyocera would just return human readable errors rather than unexplained error codes.
Thank you very much!!!!!
I did this and it worked!! easy
Me too. one you set the "Less Secure setting" ON, it works !
Great job!! Thanks a lot. I followed your instructions and my kyocera sent its first email PERFECTLY!!!!
Gran trabajo, siguiendo tus instrucciones ha funcionado a la primera de forma fantástica. Gracias!!!!!
you dont not have to change Sender Address : you can set that as whatever you want
BUT: and this what I found out if you use gmail you need to "allow less secure apps" in your gmail account
Go to your (Google Account).
On the left navigation panel, click Security.
On the bottom of the page, in the Less secure app access panel, click Turn on access.
If you don't see this setting, your administrator might have turned off less secure app account access (check the instruction above).
Click the Save button.
You saved me, thanks a million.
" Connection error "
Go to Google > Manage your Google Account > Security > Signing in to google option > Create App password > Enter your Gmail PW > Add a device (other) > copy paste the password manually in "Log in password" of SMTP function settings.
nice and short thank you
I'm getting communication error 1101 when I run Test. What am I missing?
I had the Same Issue. The Problem was Google blockig the Access of an „unsecure“ App. You can change the Setting in your google Account, than it works Fine
Ah! Thanks! I’ll try it. Two years later I still can’t send an email directly from the printer. 😂
@@DenSpa87 haha 😂 But the setup is really counter-intuitive.
EDIT: also works on TASKalfa printers (Also uses the Command Centre RX interface)
I am actually trying to do the same thing, but using a G Suite Account. We already adjusted Account settings to allow less secure apps to access the account but still the same 0x1101 error...
I was able to resolve by Checking Network Settings on the Copier. Kyocera Tech let me know that the error meant the SMTP Server could not be reached. DNS was OK, but I noticed Domain and Gateway Settings were flipped (Field for Domain was placed traditionally where Gateway would be).
I have the TASKalfa 3510i. Cannot find anyone to perform maintenance (company went out of business that we got it from). I can get to the SSL TSL security “submit” as I don’t have that soooo I can’t find the email info to change the email. For some reason the email function just suddenly stopped … can anyone help?
Does it really need a valid gmail account can we just turn on the SMTP?
Great video, thanks so much for your help!!
Awesome guide! many thanks!
Thank you, works fine except I also had to enter our companies DNS Server.
Hi, thanks for the video. I followed all your instructions, but in my case, after hitting the test button, I find the following message: Connection Error (0x1102). Any advice? Thanks!
seriously i need your help, my kyocera 3011i is giving me same error after following all the step on the video
Try going to myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and enable less secure apps
Hi there, the Scan2Email function of my Kyocera MM5521cdw suddenly stopped working with the error messages ( Error 1101), although all settings were as shown in this video. The hint to manually define the *DNS Server (Primary)&(Secondary): under Network Settings -> TCP/IP Settings -> IPv4 Settings (Common) did also not work out, and resulted instead in the error message (Error 1102). I finally figured out that I had to enable SMTP on my Gmail account as shown here: ruclips.net/video/D-NYmDWiFjU/видео.html&feature=emb_logo
I have no idea, why it used to work before and then stopped..
I did like your instruction, and when i clicked test, but it is not working, error 1/1101, do you know why..?
go to CMD on your PC and ping the SMTP server to get an IP address
This worked great but suddenly stopped after 3 weeks of using...any suggestions? Nothing changed
Thank you so very much
Kindly help with scan to pc
Great job, worked 1st try :)
I need help. I'm using a TASKalfa 300ci. When I do the connection test, it works fine. I had to use Port 25; when I changed to Port 465 like in the video, the connection failed. When I go to the printer, I get error 3101 almost immediately after pressing "Finish Scan". I have it set to the lowest scan resolution, so I don't believe it's the file size.
Try using port 587
Erreur de connexion (0x1102)
it brings error of 0x1101, what should i do
Error 0x1102 shows up because of google' security. Change "Less secure app access" to on in your google account
go to your gmail account for printing and ENABLE Less Secure APP access (via security settings). Otherwise you will get error 0x1102.
I need this for G Suite... Any help on that?
Gmail is now blocking the settings that allowed Kyocera to work. They want approved hardware only. Need to find a working email solution.
Thank you!
I went on the printer and tried to scan by hitting send and entering the same email address but I got a message: "Error Type: Server". Can anyone help please? Thanks
hi i tried almost every possible way with kyocera 3011i but all in vain , please help
Hi , i have a kyocera printer and i want to test scan to mail (gmail), i used the same parameters than the video, but i have always a error. Thank you.
What model machine? I am a technician and have installed these on almost a daily basis and I should be able to help you with this issue.
Go to Security Checkup ( myaccount.google.com/security-checkup ) and Turn on access for apps that use less secure sign-in technology ( myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps )
thanks, that's it ;-)
Ich musste nur bei Grundeinstellungen allgemein Dyn. DNS deaktivieren, dann kam keine Fehlermeldung mehr.
its showing error : - Connection Error (0x1102)
Same here
I'm using a TASKalfa printer and was bashing my head against the wall trying to solve that 1102 error code until I disabled authentication... and to my surprise, it worked.
Comming connection error 0x1102,
Please help🙏
thx for help
Hi, I got the Error : Connection Error (0x1101)
Be sure to set up your DNS servers if you are using a static IP.
@@mikeyfoofoo Debes activar el acceso a aplicaciones no seguras en la cuenta de gmail que vayas a utilizar.
Best like and best subscribe
In may, google will deny access to any „insecure“ Third party app. So this wont be possible anymore, Sadly…
Mine stopped working and I had to change to a different email other than Gmail
@@tacri may i ask how you did it?
dns adress : 8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4 but not working.Error code (0x4803).
great!
Error 2202. Please help
What's the link to Kyocera Command Center RX?
just type its IP address on your web browser
Thanks alot! Kyocera UI is from hell ...
Just make sure to check this myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and if the network settings (protocol) are OK to be online.
Deben activar el acceso a aplicaciones no seguras en la cuenta de GMAIL.
Cómo ? Eh tratado y no puedo poner mi scanner
how to know smtp server name????
Setting "Allow less secure apps" to 'ON" at myaccount.google.com/u/1/lesssecureapps fixes the problem. I am NOT recommending doing that. I'm just saying that it works IF you do that.
lol @ TSL
copy paste ?
if you get an Error 0x1102 or 0x4803, try = allow Less secure apps on your Google Account
.
myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps
Thank you!
