Interesting lore, but still funny that despite all the added races. Female miqo'te are still the most common in the player base with Lalas as a close second most popular, at least it certainly seems that way with everywhere I've visited

@@PrincessofKeys My headcanon is that data is old and doesn't count current population. Since then, there was a population bloom and the demographics got tilted.
Nuhn's are not necessarily leaders. It's not a position that automatically has any power on its own. Many tribes have various forms of leadership and structure to hierarchy which don't include the Nuhn.
Comparatively few!? they are 90% of what I see! Though I guess this is going off the lore of the land and not what the vanilla normie playerbase picks because "sexy cat girl" xD
Yeah canonically the player base is not representative of population. If it was Viera would be absurdly populace for how many there are suppose to be. Easiest way to get a feel is to look at npc representation in MSQ and throughout the world.
Wait, I don't follow? They fled the Allagan empire to southern Ilsabard. And were stuck their till the Umbral calamity of Ice. But were where they stuck? In the island of Thavnair? But the blood rhine sea is near the island of Old Sharlayan? (probably spelled those names wrong, but I am confused, can someone help?)
so Thavnair is pretty far south of ilsabard and not even really a part of it. they probably would have been somewhere more akin to Werlyt which borders the Ghmilyt Dark. We don't have a full picture of where exactly they were located and they likely were spread pretty wide since some ended up as far away as Dalmasca. I can't post a map to visualize it but we are looking at the region mainly towards the center of Ilsabard between Gyr Abania and Garlemald then a little ways south but still on the continent its self its also possible that the bounty never froze during the age of frost so the group could only have migrated north once they discovered the blood brine sea had frozen. We have painfully little info so some of this is informed speculation.
I just watched this after watching the more funnier ones, aka the Job crystal looks and mix heritage ones, and I am glad to see that Keepers of the Moon isn't that far off from my personality and choice of my character. Dalmascan born, her parents would of been a generation off from living within a tribe, with my character's great grand parents having left the tribe to live among in the city of Rabanastre, where to add just a bit of extra lore is related to the royal blood line (but a small % since she is more pure blooded than Hyur like her hyur ancestor that married her Miqote Dalmascan ancestor, and thus overtime stayed with the keepers instead of keeping the mixed bloodline, since she has more hyur skintone than a Keeper's blue-really light skin.) Plus after years of just putting it off, I can say that by now the Bard is my favorite physical range class outside of Dancer.
Similar story, got back into the game a few years back, made a cute Moon Mi'qote and I was like, what class should I go with? Almost picked Gladiator (Paladin armor was cool) but then I came across Archer and the Bard attire called to me! Now I know why! Granted I'm an omni job with nearly all of them in the 60s but my Bard main job is 71, and SO MUCH FUN!!!
I assume like Viera, gender and masculinity/femininity are fluid, more about the culture than what's under the loincloth. Anyway, as many seekers of the sun (being more widespread than keepers) grow up completely separated from tribes in cities, they don't really follow the traditional tribal structure. Many miqote in Limsa or the east don't really care much about the clans and nunhs.
As a male Miquo'te I can definitely agree on the ratio of male to females, feels like males are endangered even in the playerbase xD
XD
It's a Miqo'te world and I just live in it.

9:07 actually incorrect. Zhloe’to Aliapoh would be Zhole’s second son. Her first son would be Zhole’a Aliapoh.
that's probably a misspeak. they were talking about second born sons, and then said first.
These are great. I know there hasnt been a race video in a year but I do hope that we will get a hrothgar entry one day :3
Hrothgar will come out with EE3! We will get a ton of new info for sure.
wait so the seeker of the sun leader can have harem by himself?!
Not just can, typically does. At least for the seekers of the sun. -Elioaux
Not a harem persey but breeding male.
@@shiroi_hare breeding male doesn't seems right word, since in the seeker of the sun, male is the leader right...

"vanilla normie playerbase" I mean why wouldn't people play the race they like the look of the most?
why? Cat girls are beautiful. And as Yoko Taro once said, "I like women."

5:34 Why is Aldegoat the reperesentation of the N tribe when there's no N in its letters?
translation probably.
whatever language the Miqo's spoke at the time, teh word for Aldgoat had an N in it.
like how the Y tribe is Jaguar.
1:10 So there is a lore reason for cat girls to dress skimpy!
Tia: Beta
Nunh: Alpha
Male Keeper: Sigma
cat people....cat people everywhere... quotes noctis

JP or EN accent pronunciation are both used in the game. Both are fine.

I do often ponder what this lore means for trans Miqo'te. My WoL is a trans masc Miqo'te (seeker of the sun)
