I wanted to do a piano cover of the Wishbone Ash song "Throw Down the Sword" because it's been one of my favourite songs since I was a small child. Growing up, I listened to the album "Argus" countless times, and it has left an indelible mark on my musical journey. The introduction of "Throw Down the Sword" holds a special place in my heart as it was the very first piece of music I ever learned on the guitar.
Transforming this song into a piano cover feels like a way to honour those early memories and the profound influence the song has had on my life. The hauntingly beautiful melody and the emotive power of the song resonate deeply with me, and translating it to the piano allows me to express my connection to the song in a new and personal way. It's a tribute to the beginnings of my musical exploration and a testament to the enduring impact of Wishbone Ash's music on my life.
