  • Learn a lot of short phrases and full sentences in Spanish for small talk. I will say the words three times, two will be slowly and one in normal conversation voice.
    These are phrases you'll be using on a daily basis so be sure to listen and repeat.
    Thanks for watching!

    Excellent selection of phrases and clearly pronounced. It is very good to hear the repetition of each phrase. Easy to follow, easy to listen to and understand. thank you.

      So tired in the evenings when I try to learn Spanish. BUT... I have a new plan! I will do your tutorials early in the morning to learn vocab and sentence structure, etc. Then with earphones I will work on pronunciation for the rest of the day. Marvelous plan, no?😊

    The formal “you” (usted) should be used instead of “tú” because “usted” is always correct while “tu” is not used much in some countries such as Colombia.

    Which dialect?

  • @lucoot
    @lucoot 11 месяцев назад +11

    Why use such non-literal translation like "sounds good" for "de acuerdo"? "I agree" would be closer to the Spanish and perfectly understandable in English. "Sounds good" is needlessly different.

      It’s good feedback - but I also want to remind that there’s no such thing as a literal translation. You also have connotation and just how things are generally received. For example, in the shitty Spanish education I got growing up we were taught “cómico”,
      meaning funny. Come to find out that’s actually slightly insulting and the better word is divertido - but they both more or less translate to the same thing

      I think it's important when learning a new language to get over your native language structure and just accept what's being taught. Plus, you guys misuse literal. Literal translation I think is the best. example "Tengo hambre". You take that as"I am hungry" but the literal translation is"I have hunger". It will slow down your learning to try to grammatically make sense of a new language instead of embracing and practicing what you're learning.

    why say Esta aqui vs Este aqui?

    • @SpanishWithLiliana
      @SpanishWithLiliana  9 месяцев назад +3

      It is means "esta" or "es" in Spanish. In this case, "it is here" would be "esta aquí".
      "Este" can mean "this one".

    Why "Que horrible" a "Qué lindo" can not use the same word "Qué" even they are all means "How". Thanks for answer. 😢

    Are these phrases translated from a dictionary, or are they phrases that Spaniards use in everyday speech?

    • @SpanishWithLiliana

      All phrases are chosen by me and yes, they are used on a daily basis. Thanks!
