I had a power supply on my favorite 70's superlead marshall head short out which had a catastophic outcome..since it all ready had issues requiring the fuses to be wrapped with aluminum foil to bridge the current (note, was never good to have your lips touch a mic while touching the strings) But there was a massive arc of current, perhaps some plasma and a big boom and about a 6 foot flame... It was glorious and sad, because damn it was a good amp..
Whoa that's scary! I heard of someone finding their fuse wrapped recently too. In 1990 we played a gig at a nightclub that was about a 100yr old building and I was feeling electricity through my fingers the whole time... it kinda sucked, lol!

Whiplash has the good audio when I started mixing my covers... Man, at least 20! And it sucks cuz you practice the entire song but when recording you keep restarting and repeating the same first minute, 2 min, 3 min till you finally get it or keep practicing.

Dude I can relate to amp problems , had a tube Peavey with twin scorpions 100 watts loved it , it bit the dust :( our bass player has two amps in the shop right now Oh My Gosh , it's frustrating .
Right?! This wasn't even that bad compared to when the camera's not on! I missed it one time experimenting on some soloing on this BEAST-VI and broke the high E trying to do a major pinkie band on the 15th fret and yanking on the whammy bar, lol...
WOW awesome! Anything above a certain point should sound about 99% the same really for someone just starting and seeing where it goes. IT's a great hobby that way where a few hundred invested can provide years and years of enjoyment. Not like drag racing or something! That Black V of mine there with the stickers on it is a no-name overseas guitar I paid about $150 used in 1990 for it and it still works fine, nothing but string changes! Maybe he'll get you strumming a chord on your neat childhood acoustic there and you can jam?!
The BASS-VI in the video is an early 60's no-name copy from Japan my dad gigged and gave to my mom in the 70's, she gigged it and her husband in 1980 fixed the cracked next and painted it white, but it barely made sound so it went under a bed for 15yrs, she gave it to me and I never thought to try it for anything for about another 15 when I decided to just display it and ended up experimenting with it since then. So if it was $100 it's making noise still 60 years later!
