So I bought this exact one and cleaned my kitchen cabinets. I used a little sponge/ dishcloth with detergent together with the steamer. Worked like a charm. First I steamed the surface and then used the sponge to take of the dirt. It used to be a lot harder to clean, but the steam loosens the grease and dirt and it's much faster to clean. So, using JUST the steamer won't do much but it helps a lot with the cleaning process.
I just bought similar one and cleaned few stuff. All I discovered is that it works better with some detergent poured on the surface (used it with brush) and it wipes off the dirt quite well.
I've had one of these units for about 5 years now. For me it has worked a treat. It is not however a panacea for dirt, I'm not impressed with it's cleaning on grout. Where it excels is at crevices and seams. Cleaning around the joins between sink and taps, window gutters, patio doors. It gets all the muck out of small cracks and sterilizes as well. What works really well for me on window tracks is a combination of the steamer and a shop vac. Get all the gunk loose and in a puddle of hot water and suck it out with the vac. I helps if you remember that this is nothing but a generator of really hot water (a little above boiling) with pressure behind it to blow crud out of inaccesable grooves etc. I consider it a great addition to my collection of cleaning supplies.
I bought another brand but same principle. I couldn't figure out the instructions and I would like to thank you for doing this video. It will help me with mine.
EXCEPTIONAL REVIEW!! I recently bought this steam cleaner, same model but different brand, and the “Instruction Manual” included is a joke. More like “Destruction Manual”…Instructions give only bare basic product info. Your video was 100% better in explaining the product and how to use it. Thanks for making this video, I found it EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!
I have a similar one, very cheap but works great for kitchen and bathroom especially, also windows and mirrors. You need to wipe down afterwards though, otherwise the dirt and grime will just dry up in a different place lol
Works well. But here's the thing you need to wipe down the area you steam immediately. There are some doofuses here who think that steam makes dirt vapourise and vanish. No the steam cleaner just loosens and or melts grime like cooked on grease. You've got to wipe it off with something to remove the dirt.
I wonder if a microfiber cloth can be attached to the bigger attachment he used on shower door to clean walls and ceiling, how about car windows inside?
@@tommas2674I think that’s what the larger attachment is for and you use the included cloth. I would def use a lower amount of steam for upholstery and fabric.
@@jacquelinekezema2907 thank you. I got one looks like a vacuum steamer. afraid of it. Mix white vinegar with baking soda and use this to clean grouting using am old toothbrush. I just use a cheap new one that's hard. Let the mixture soak into the grouting for at least 10 minutes before brushing. This works better than your little steamer.
I had a different brand cleaner, but it's exactly the same cleaner as in the video. I returned the next day after I purchased it, because it kept shooting out so much water it was unreal. It worked especially bad with the extension hose, the steam condensed so quickly that it would just leak a lot of water along with the steam. And no, I didn't tilt too far.

Mine was used in my greasy oven and did a fairly good job, but you have to follow through with a wiping cloth.
I bought this steamer in October and used it twice the only issue I had was having to use 2 hands to use it to hold the switch open, bothersome. With my sister dying of Cancer it wasn't my priority so missed the return period. I tried to use it recently; plug it in 2-3 minutes the light is still on, check back in another 10 minutes light is still on touching it there is no heat at all? I'd love to find a Comforday company link to ask if there is anything I can do?
As far as _cleaning_ goes, I feel that hot water, soap and a scrubber will give you a more immediate and satisfactory result on anything that is not hard to reach. The usage that interest me most is the possibility of it killing bacteria and viruses without using chemicals, on counter tops, tiles, upholstery, etc. Is the steam still truly hot - and by that I mean scalding hot - when it comes out of the longer attachments? It must be cooling down very rapidly, is it not? Did this thing become a tool that you use at least sometimes?
This is moreso to loosen tough and caked on grime. After you spray the surface isn’t hot or anything but I’ll wipe it down with a cloth to pick up the dirt it kicked up
@@maureen14 Sure. Because when we want to kill bacteria in drinking water, we just warm it up a little, right? The recommended temperature for killing E. coli or salmonella is 160°F/70°C or hotter, which is well above scalding level. Even 140°F burns an adult in 5 seconds, even if it's well below the boiling point. A temperature is considered _scalding_ if it can burn you. So yeah, the temperature needs to be scalding hot.
