"Dont do drugs and mix it with alcohol it makes your body die sometimes" -alana 2023. truly words of our time
it do be like that
True. Only do one or the only, NEVER both.
“It’s a sad story, he had so much to offer the world” the dude quite literally wouldn’t stop committing crimes.
The guy that died wasn't really a criminal other ones were.
@@xcalixus Yeah he just mined FIFA coins that game company themselves called worthless
(26:30) When the hackers fell for the Nigerian Prince trick by the FBI. Now that is irony.
30:00 he got a warning because at 17 he's still a minor, if he gets charged, he could be let go in a year.
7:00 Months later, but the red ring of death was caused by the solder connecting the graphics card (IIRC) breaking. By heating the console up enough the solder (which is electrical glue, basically) could be reconnected and fix the issue. It also would reduce the amount of solder available, and thus cause the RRoD to happen more frequently until the fix would just never work. It also could cause other overheating issues, especially with the higher temperature methods like putting the Xbox in the oven.
man that one about that guy being got for wire fraud when he literally didnt even commit wire fraud is actually making me sick thinking about it
There are two reasons for the towel trick that are generally argued: 1 - 4chan trolls who wanted to make things worse telling impressionable kids to do it. It was always meant to CAUSE overheating, not fix it. Causing overheating can fix another problem though. 2 - a less effective but less scary way to fix one cause of the rrod and also black screens. Not all red rings were caused by overheating. some were actually caused by cracked solder on the board or ports, especially the black screen with or without rrod. Because so many people waited so long for RMAs some people wanted a home fix. The only way besides manually re-soldering to fix that crack is reflow soldering, a fancy term for melting all the solder in one area or even on the whole board. This would mend the crack, but normally one actually needs to chuck the xbox in the oven on low temp, or use a heat gun to properly reflow. Most kids were scared to do the oven method and did not have a heat gun, or know how to solder. So the theory was the towel method would force it to overheat, melting the solder. Some said it worked, but probably not all the time, because solder melts at temps it should have red ringed from reaching, but people tried it none the less.
Bro messed up so bad he got grounded by the fbi
I will say something cold, at least the guy who died in Poland isn't wasting my tax money by being in prison.
Australians? Being criminals? No. It can't be. Not the people who's ancestors were criminals transported there by the Brits......
How uneducated a poor bloke must be to think "criminal DNA" exists and determines people behaviour...
@@baka_ja_nai what? Did the emus beat the concept of a joke out of you too?
@@jrockz133tthat’s the best come back I’ve seen in a long time
Red ring of death was one of the worst things to happen to innocent gamers. I will never forgive Microsoft/Xbox for these crimes against humanity :(
I actually repaired the red ring on a lot of 360s, you usually just need to remove the heat sink from the mother board and reapply new thermal paste, this is usually caused by the breakdown of the old shitty thermal paste they used in production. An easy fix honestly, but only if you know the problem
Man, this fox woman really feels nice on the eyes
My red ring of death was fixed by changing what outlet I had it plugged into. I don't know why it worked but it did.
The one dude shouldn't of even gotten jail time. If the coins had no value how is it wire fraud. Hes making money selling a service. Id be suing the shit out of the FBI when I got out if I was him
yeah, the fact others gives it a value dun mean it has a general value. otherwise here is a rock we all agree is without value but you can buy it for 6 million cuz 'that rare'. but it's not gold, it's not a currency, no one's owned it prior to have it be considered item of luxury value, etc.
hiding her tail behind a massive password seems ike a good idea, imaginge how many are after that big floof
This and the Internet Historian: The sweden Job are the opinity of the phrases 'But wait, theres more' and 'It gets worse'
Doesn't matter if you watch a ad. I can tap my screen 6 times to skip it

The skipping truly was a gift, also hold down makes x2 speed which is also good and sometimes funny.
I could watch that intro for hours
Red ring was cause by bad solder on the chips.
Wrapping in a towel will melt the solder and refloat the chips.
Don't keep it wrapped after it kicks on.
9:06 Does anyone still remember "Piracy it's a crime" ?
I too pirate games. But you see, I am already in the FBI's balls. And there's nothing they can do to stop me.
I couldn't have alcohol at all if I couldn't mix alcohol and drugs. I'm on 6 different things, 3 of which have interactions with alcohol. Fortunately it's limited if it's only once and a while.
Ha, people didn’t know how to get rid of the red ring of death. My brothers and I were just built different. We were like 8-12. I was 10 and we would wrap it up with towels and it would overheat then reset and boom, it’s back. Not the smartest but it worked.
Imagine being 12 and starring in a Scorsese film about video games.
The “Towel fix” was only a temporary solution
Ha...was my detailed rant on exactly how to fix a red-ringed x-box got autodeleted?
Ahh...what a world we live in.
To be honest, the guy probably didn't really commit wire fraud, but it's a pretty loose regulation to begin with. If I had a guess, the Chinese police and investigators were asking the IRS and FBI to do something about it, because Anthony's mining operation was probably playing havoc on things on their end. If he was making that much money from it, then the people he was selling to in China had to be making more money when they sold the tokens to the consumers. Might not cause a problem in some cases, but might also be feeding more serious criminal activities or other things on their end. Hard to know for sure.
I was lucky enough to not have the Red Ring of Death on my 360 but my Xbox One did have its hard drive fail and that was heartbreaking, legit was a brick. Fixing it was the equivalent of buying a new one and I wantes to game so bit the bullet and went out to get another one.
the red ring was caused by heatsink going solid and warping the x clamp over the processor. wrapping it in a rowel would cause the heatsink the liquify again due to the heat and fixing the cooling issue for awhile...
Even if you're a super wizard hacker, you are not safe from absolute stupidity, and dead brain decisions....
What an interesting succession of events.
they just wanted the money
Intro cute, fox woman cute
I mean he first made money on fifa coins, not that bad. Then he escaped and got him mom to prison for 2 years, terrible. He stole thousands from random people, scummy. And robbed a bank. The only thing hed do if he lived would be steal from other people
Way late, but the Red Ring is actually pretty simple ((yet horrible)). It was an issue with overheating yes, it caused a certain part to get warped, which lead to it to not work right. It's funny that Microsoft took so long to send the fixes back, since all they had to do was swap the part out.
But, the reason why the towel solution "worked", is cause it caused the system to quickly overheat; making the warped part possible temporarily get back into place.
Sometimes it worked for good, others it was only a quick fix for a little while cause their system would just heat up again and rewarp the part.
its funny how its all a bunch of really, really stupid coincidences
Feds catch a lot more people than you think
Its just the big stories where they fail that goes viral
While those big cases were probs the 0.00001 of people who do this
We just never hear about little timmy who hacked roblox for some Robux
and for every hackerman40000 there is 10000s of little timmies
Lol all the FBI wanted or really care about was the money 😂 thats funny as hell basically a slap on the wrist an a stern talking from the IRS
27:16 And of course the dudes a furry as well 😆
44:20 damn... when Lady luck turns on you after that much good fortune, she pulls no punches... that sucks.
overheating a red ring xbox either by towel or oven, reflows the soldier joints, that tended to break when overheating happrned
I sent my red ringed regular 360 to Microsoft and they sent me back an elite about two weeks later!
I was stoked lol
Kekw wrecked his own mom
39:56 Could help you with that, cause I actually live there
Sad the passing, due to control substances. people, simply don't do thing, that are clearly harmful.
and this is why crypto currency was invented.
When Microsoft took my Xbox to fix the red ring of death it took them one year and my dad also sent them the hard drive so they lost that and I got a new hard drive as well. Aka I also lost my data.
I remember when i did this. It was fun. I just wanted to play Left 4 Dead with the cool mods i saw people using on pc with their funny videos on RUclips. Like Criken2
I fix my Xbox 360 by swapping out the fan
mad for not skipping ads >:(
