I love this technique of drawing the soft outline first then layering the darker details on top. I will have to give this a try. By try, I mean I am a novice. It had been some 40 years since I had picked up a pencil and I have recently re-discovered the joy of pen and ink. Thanks Ink Rebellion for teaching me something new
@@InkRebellion I gave it a go this evening. I didn't have the guts to take ink to naked paper, but I worked the brush over tight pencils. I was pleased with the results but it doesn't do the technique justice. Next time I try it will be over loose pencils and a freer hand on the brush. Thanks much for the lesson and I am really enjoying your work.
Another great sketch. Thanks. I had a chuckle at the words 'Land Lubbers' as apparently no sailors ever it. I guess we've all watched to many pirate movies.
Love your artwork! I'd love to watch the entire process, but the cuts every 5 seconds makes it a bit jarring. Have you considered uploading hour long/uncut versions? I'd totally watch them. Love the way you draw!
Hi, thanks for the feedback, I am getting this comment from others, In my recent video 'Hobbit House" I doubled the length. I am going to see how people generally feel about that then increase as required. thank you so much
@@InkRebellionThe hobbit video was how i found your account 😊 Loved it! Your drawingvideos feel like they are slowly discovered with gradually more detail. More information, video or pictures about the process in picking the image you draw would be wonderful!
Question: are you looking at a reference to draw your pictures, or is this completely out of your head? Great videos, very enjoyable and educational to watch. Very interested in how you create your subjects.
Thanks for watching, this is pretty much off the top of my head, but I have references of cliffs, and i think i also googled rope bridge, but you dont copy, you just have it in fron of you to kind of anchor your idea into reality, very hard to explain@@davidbushek5896
Do you “see” the image first like a tv screen in your mind? Or do you use reference images? My mum and daughters say they “see” the images like a screen but I only see darkness 😭 I love to draw and am passably “good” at the technical aspect of it (I’m 35 been drawing since forever), but I have to rely on reference images because I don’t have a “screen” or any visual images inside my head :/ Edit: Your art is amazing of course, I know that goes without saying. But I’m interested in what happens inside your head before the actual technical side begins 😊
Please, if possible can you LIKE my video? many thanks guys

Good
Hi, thanks
Your drawings are so inspiring and free.
How do you go about to find the inspiration and reference to your drawings?
