Great product, really looks beautiful once applied. I wouldn't say it was exactly easy to fit but it did get easier with practice, I did 12 windows in all. My top tips - REALLY clean the window as advised in the instructions and video. Just one speck of dust or grit really shows. It is straightforward to peel back the film carefully and wash out the speck with the spray bottle of slip but it can be quite time consuming. If you allow the film to fold instead back on itself rather than curve it will create a fold which will not relax back. This is explained in the instructions. I wasted a few pieces like that. Also don't let the adhesive side stick to itself. You can sometimes save it by being really persistent with the slip solution, but if it folds it's no good. Don't forget to look at the pattern at the edge of each roll, there is a 3cm margin with no pattern. Count it as the portion you will be trimming. I missed it first time round but fortunately could use that bit on a smaller window. Tape method as advised is definitely the best method to peel apart the film from it's backing.
I will certainly buy this again if I ever want privacy film in the future

Excellent instructions, thank you. Tricky to remove the backing (tape method didn't work for me) and it is essential to spray lots of the slip solution onto the sticky film - you also need a decent amount of room / large table to do this. But following the instructions carefully and this amateur produced pretty good results.

Just fitted this to my big bedroom window today. I would suggest that you ensure you have the workspace/worktop area to roll out the film entirely before cutting otherwise it will probably crease also as in the video, spray solution onto adhesive side as you remove backing film to prevent film sticking to itself. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the results but only time will tell I suppose. As of today I'm giving it a thumbs up 👍

Today I fitted this film to the inside of my conservatory roof. Found it easy to apply, but you do have to take care not to crease the film. Looks good. I wait to see how it’ll handle the heat of an UK summer.

My trusty workforce installed this without peeling the backing. It sticks extremely well on both windows! Success ! However. on one of the widows it jumped off over night. So it did not stick at all and it lay on the floor completely undamaged and like new . Still with out instructions your crop circle believing gormless optimist stuck it back up in a new way. It looks great I stuck it back on using just water and detergent frosted side towards the glass. So now both panes are matched and they should fall off together at some point, I will try the tape method to peel off the backing, I attempted the knife method and failed with the file method and the baulked at the bending method and finally ground to a halt meting the thing over a gas hob method, we then "got combinational" and we permed two of the above options The knife scrape and melting followed by the folding and picking, melting and folding, and scraping and bending, and lets not forget the shouting a swearing method, all the classics. I will try the tape method when they fall off, which they will soon. Now wash your hands.

John Hoffman not all films have a removable backing. It's good to keep this in mind.

Just watched vid and done my kitchen window.
Not perfect but my first go and I'm not too fussed about the odd slight crease, it's the 12 or so hours of blazing sun I get during the summer months I'm trying to minimise.
Sun keeps breaking out every so often and all I can say is so far so good.
    Tip.
Use more slip on the glass and film than you think you should, really wet it, makes film easier to move if it's your first go.

just finished 3 100cm x 70cm front ground floor windows in mirrored finish and it took 2 hours 15 minutes, not bad for a first go!
whilst negotiating the elements and flying crawly things i learnt not to be afraid to peel it back off, respray it with slip and then have another go at it, once insect removed...is it the same standard as a professional? nope probably not but i saved 360 quid by doing it myself!

Seems easy in the video. However, when I was removing the backing, the film stuck to itself and that was the end of that. Extremely p***ed off!! Not impressed. You need to advise your customers of this, because I am now going to have to buy more, doubling the cost.

This is what I'm worried about as I'm doing patio doors! I thought it was static window film when I bought it but it is adhesive backed!!!! Might return it or perhaps complain to Amazon as the fact it's adhesive backed isn't made obvious.

@@jamesbrown4107 hiya just fitted mine ensure you spray adhesive side when removing the backing film as in the video this prevents it sticking together. 😉👍

IVE USED THIS TYPE OF FILM IN THE PAST AND HAVE JUST ORDERED SOME MORE, IVE READ THE COMMENTS ABOUT THE QUALITY AND EASE/LACK OF EASE FITTING THIS FILM, ITS ALL DOWN THE PERSON FITTING THE FILM, IF THEY ARE GOOD THE RESULT IS OUTSTANDING IF THE PERSON FITTING IT IS NOT CAREFULL METICULOUS AND PRECISE THE RESULT WILL LOOK CRAP . . THE PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD THE RESULT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON WHO INSTALLS IT . . I FOUND YOU CANT PUT TO MUCH SOAPY WATER ON THE WINDOW AND BOTH SIDES OF THE FILM, I FITTED MY FILM TO THE INSIDE OF THE WINDOW AS IM 3 STORYS UP WITH NO OUTSIDE ACCESS TO THE WINDOW. AND IT WORKS/LOOKS GREAT, UV LIGHT VERY LOW, SUN GLARE LOW, KEEPS HEAT IN DURING WINTER, AND PRIVACY DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.

Great video but this must be the worst film I have tried. I've been trying to get it to stay in place for over a week. It just keep pealing off glass. Stays perfectly flat for a day then soon as glass warms up it just bubbles up off glass.

Nice when it's on an internal window like this but when there's the slightest bit of sun on the window the film dries up soo fast it's totally un usable. You can't get a refund once you've removed the backing film but it's not until you remove it that you find out just how user unfriendly this stuff really is. Looks great once you've installed it until it dries up. I even scratched the film with just a plastic scraper and I wasn't even pushing very hard

I had no problems after a nervous start but then I used loads of soapy solution both on the window and then the film itself. The biggest problem I found was keeping dust & grit off the inside of the film and I found that's where the scratches occur. After the first of five panes I had to do I'd learnt by the second to provide a really good finish. After applying the film to the window, I first went over the film with a squeegee to make sure there was no grit under the film before using the straight hard edge with any force. I used a very flat metal filler edge, rather than a plastic edge (cos that's what I had) and that did the job really well. I agree though, this stuff is not as easy to apply as the static variety, but when you get it right, the finish is far superior.

Absolute nightmare to fit one of these on your own! I recommend getting at least one helper for the initial application process or you will end up with folds and crinkles in the film.
As it stands applying it on my own has not come out too nicely, however it is just for the bedroom that I want to stay cool and get some privacy. I will not bother attempting to apply it to my bigger windows in my living room for now!
Will update once I have had it going for a few days to let people know how I find its effectiveness.

hmmmm, there should be a warning on the leaflet that comes with the product. 'After following this guide throw your wasted product in the bin, tear up this leaflet and watch the RUclips guide.' Then order another 3 metres of product and do it properly. Really disappointed with the 'instructions'. What a waste.
