OMG THANK YOU!!! ❤🖤💚 I have been looking for hours on how to fix this damn thing and nothing worked especially because most videos say to put an allen wrench at the bottom and there is no socket for that. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong with the plunger but it just took a lot of elbow grease to get the plate turning. These disposals are horrible but at least now I know what to do the next time this crap happens again (it happens A LOT and it's brand new!!!). You're the best!!! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

You saved ME Several days, a call to the plumber, and 75 bucks! Thank you! I have a buddy that does houses and he just said "use the crank hole in the bottom" Moen doesn'tt have Crank holes in the bottom, it is solid-thank you very much. This let me fix it so he didn't ahve to come look at it and I can use my dishwasher again.
Here's a hint: I used a 5 foot dowel (all I had) and REALLY pushed down in there. Don't Be afraid to PUSH LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO BREAK IT!!! The argument is, it is ALREADY BROKEN, all you can do is TRY YOUR HARDEST, so don't be afraid to lean into it and BEAT IT UP!! (Universal life advice btw), so I leaned in and got up for the down stroke!!
Once I stopped worrying about breaking a broken device, I used my man strength and then beat it with my purse until it Spun in one direction, and then the other.
Now I am enjoying the sound of a Freshling humming dishwasher.
    Thanks Again.

Thanks for posting this brother. Worked like a charm. I didn’t have the plunger so I used the handle end of my rake. Awesome!!!

This actually worked. Unjammed it easily. I dislike these garbage disposals for not having the simple Allen key at the bottom to unjam. Thank you for the video, it saved me today.

Thank you so so so much! Mine has been jammed for months and I thought I needed a new one. Just found out about the actual tool but I had to order it.

Got mine to work after this! Thanks! Only difference is I used my knife sharpener stick. Apparently someone in my house broke some porcelain bowl and the pieces got stuck on the side so the blade was stuck. Removed the broken pieces and turned the blade and it worked again.

My man! Similar to many, was looking for the hex at the bottom of the disposal. Thank you for the post!

Thank you for making this video. I did not know that about my garbage disposal. The plunger technique fixed it and saved me from having to call a plumber.

Couldn't find a plunger, so I've used a broom stick basically of the same diameter. Worked like a charm! Thank you man SO MUCH!
