Seems like Drum-tec has some great e-kits....possibly the best on the market. The problem I have is that, GEWA, Drumtec, ATV, etc...are all European brands (correct me if I'm wrong on that). Which means, no one in America carries them. We're held hostage to whatever info is given in these videos What set's them a part from each other? Which one has the best feel? It seems to me that very little is spent on that topic in these videos. With all due respect, some dude laying down his amazing chops tells me absolutely nothing about this gear. Which is odd, given what this stuff is priced at, these days. Although, in defense of Drumtec, that's what gear demo's are these days (at least as far as RUclips goes). Virtually 99% of gear purchases made today are done online....all we know is what's said in these videos. But, before I drop $5K-$8K+ I'd like to know a little about the kit itself, not the amazing drummer.

There's a bunch of stores in the US that carry these brands, Drum center of Portsmouth in NH is one and Edrumcenter in Nashville, Tennesse is another. 66Samus here on RUclips also just switched to playing a drumtec kit and he gives a pretty good break down of his kit and all the features. Justin from 65 Drums is another good source for info on all things e-drums

Hi there, that's not 100% correct! Our friends @drumcenternh (Drum Center of Portsmouth) are offering our drums :) best regards!

@@keithwoodcrest I appreciate the reply....that's the first I've heard of Edrumcenter. Trying to keep my comments respectful, I'll simply say that I've seen the videos from the channels you're talking about, and leave it at that. I don't know what constitutes as "several" stores. But, my searches brought up two stores....three including Edrumcenter (which doesn't even come up on a Google search....which these days means you may as well not exist). Several Reverb products come up for GEWA, and virtually none for this particular Diablo kit. Yet, Drum-tec doesn't seem concerned with explaining the difference between these products, which is odd given they have at LEAST 5 different brands on their site? When the closest store is a 15hr drive away, then ithey might as well be Germany. These companies seem to be focusing on kids, many of whom don't own, or have a desire to own, an acoustic kit, never mind a veteran drummer looking for an acoustic feel, for a silent practice solution. They have what I'm assuming, is a very good flagship product line for close to $10K....or an "entry level" toy for $4K-$7K. That's a LOT of money to a lot of people....never MIND $8K-$10K. And, for all I know, it could be that their $5K sets are very, very good, and very close to what I'm after. But, I have yet to see any real-world, practical info showing that. DCP does a good job with the GEWA line, for those looing for a product like that. I'll be talking to them more in the days ahead just to hear their thoughts.
With ALL due respect to these guys, and their RUclips channels, there's nothing on Drum-tec's sight, nor the other channels you mentioned that IMO comes close to explaining the product differences. Veteran Pro's could care less about having 2000 over-processed, unrealistic sounds on a cheap-feeling kit that feels like you're playing on a trampoline. The kids today, don't mind, because they don't know any better. They grew up with cell phones and PS4's. This is nothing more than a cool toy to them to make videos with. They're not making music, they're making RUclips videos. *Not saying that's wrong, I'm saying it's not what I'm looking for, or how I'm using it.* And, that seems to be the sales pitch, these days. Like I stated at the beginning... I appreciate your reply. I never knew about Edrumcenter. I'll keep that in mind when the time comes to finally pull the trigger for a set. For now, I think I'll stick with plan A, and pick up $500 worth of 1/2" thick plywood, some MLV, and a gallon of paint, and a clip-on fan, for silent practicing in the garage. At least if that turns out to be junk, I've got no one to blame but myself, I can recycle the wood, and I'm not out of $5K+...👍

Since the Kick is normally one zone trigger, has it changed much in comparison to the last generation Diabolo? I assume it doesn't have a triple cone configuration as it probably not needed....

You're right, the kick doesn't have the triple cone configuration. You can find a picture of the bass drum trigger system right here -> drumt.ec/diabolo-3-bass-drum

Das Problem ist die Videos hören sich toll an und Ich habe auch die Hand Hammered Bass & Snare. Nur die Sounds ( Roland TD17 auch Drumtec Editons) kommen nie so über die PA wie auf den Videos. Da sollte man drauf achten. Darf dann ruhig auch was kosten. Ansonsten weiter so alles Klasse und Ich werde noch mehr bestellen😁
