I love that you absolutely don't need to look up that Paul Myers is Mike's brother. Holy HELL, they look alike.
Bruce was in some of the greatest sketches ever.
My Pen! 🖊
The old "Mark McKinney in a David Foley Costume" Ploy.
One of the reasons KITH is timeless, is because of Bruce's sketches
I'm originally from california but i've lived in canada For fifty yearsand become a citizen... And listening to the c b c all of these years and to this day continues to make me proud to be a canadian❤❤❤❤
Bruce right off the street with a silky radio voice
Totally!!
Bruce was always my favorite
The heart of KITH, if you ask me, is Bruce McCulloch.
@Al Bundy Love you for that handle, Ser. How odd is it that in the 80's and 90's Ed O'Neil was the antithesis of the paradigm of American fatherhood and Cosby was the shining example thereof? Now, Modern Family sees O'Neil risen to America's Grandad while America's most prolific predator will die in prison. Also, I kind of agree with you. Thompson is also so very representative of KITH and their heart.
That's a tough call there's so much funny stuff over the years. Mr Heavy Foot, The Head Crusher, Cabbage Head, Chicken Lady..... list goes on
I could get behind Bruce officially speaking for Canada as a whole.
Great Interview (except that wasn't Mark McKinney). Paul Myers is very well spoken and seems cool, and wow looks a lot like his brother.
That whole cast was gold, but Bruce McCulloch and Kevin McDonald were my absolute favorites. I used to watch them on HBO and I bought Shame-Based Man the week it came out. These guys were such a wonderful influence on my teenage life in the early 90s.
I was at their book signing later that evening. Great time!
We watched every episode of KITH in high school - the troupe felt like family. Now I have two teenagers of my own.
At 12:25 the interviewer is saying the clip is with Mark and Bruce, but it´s not. It´s Dave Foley and Bruce McCulloch in a 1986 interview. Why is Bruce not correcting the interviewer for calling Dave for Mark?
Probably to keep the flow of the show going, and not to make the host look bad.
so you noticed too...
Bruce could have delineated the difference between the two had he simply ascertained there was an error.
@@adversity2333 Nice!
Glad someone else noticed!
canadian monty python (as opposed to SCTV: canadian SNL) ... @12:35 that's bruce & dave foley (not mark mckinney)
I just love his voice. I know it's supposed to be funny, but it's also pretty calming.
Wow, does Paul ever look like his brother!
I think he looks like if Wayne and Garth had a kid together
I guess it's pretty randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?
My sisters and I were just saying These are the Dave's I know is one of our favorite sketches.
"Some people like us." What a great moment for them. Loved the interview. I feel blessed to have shared the same suburban angst and enjoyed the same comedic influences that both of these amazing artists grew up with. I fully appreciate it but was never funny myself. (The stories I tell don't have that annoying funny part at the end). Paul Myers is actually quite a multitalented artist in his own right and is a walking pop encyclopedia.
I love he came in singing, these are the daves I know, because I was obsessed and in love with Dave Foley ❤️
Still hoping to one day marry him
that was Dave Foley in the scene - not Mark McKinney!
This guy is a GREAT interviewer!
Nobody is commenting on the fact that he called Dave Foley by the wrong name twice lol. He called him Mark McKinney.
Paul and Mike Myers ❤️
Mike Meyer's brother is unmistakably Mike Meyer's brother.
Except Paul is older, so Mike might look like him.
Paul looks just like his brother!
It's weird that they never brought up Mike. He used to perform with KITH way back.
i wish this was an hour long
Cathy and Kathy were my favourites
"Traffic! Hahaha... Why was he _really_ late, though?"
I was at that San Francisco show!
What a great interview!
@9:00 -- For the millionth time, I'll add -- Geez, he looks so much like Mike!
It figures a Myers would be the perfect individual to chronicle the history of the KITH.
His brother was tight with these guys in the 1980s, too.
A lot of these comics crossed circles at around the same time.
The SCTV guys knew the original SNL group, the KITH were familiar with guys who came up on SNL in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
They didn't exist in a social vacuum from each other, folks.
That said, KITH really is more Canadian Monty Python than it is SCTV. It's the farthest thing from SNL that I can imagine, too!
The 3rd clip was dave foley not mckinney.
“It pooped in my bread”. - Mark McKinney
6:15 no way was Fred Armisen watching KITH after school
There's no way that Paul and Mike aren't clones. No way.
Brilliant! Not I said, but we said!!
As a long time CBC fan. I’m dismayed, that in other contexts. TicToc, is referred to.
Our public broadcaster, should not be a platform for the CCP.
What the hell happened at 8:25?!? The death glares coming from Tom afterwards, look deadly
Seems like something distracted Tom offscreen
The Producer is saying something to him threw his headset.....
@@williamcureatz1628 amazing. A
Anyone else catch that? Pretty sure that’s Dave.
Not Mark McKinney in that last clip, uh, clearly Dave Foley.
The Cincinnati Kid
Mistake was made. The interview in 1986 was with Dave Foley, not Mark McKinney.
That’s Dave Foley bra lol
How did this host confuse Dave Foley with Mark McKinney (who I met taking a walk before a show in South Carolina, I have the picture, & got my head crushed during the show)
Wow he does look like his brother Mike.
Only MORE withering, if you upset him on Facebook or Twitter. As I learned the hard way......
@@rosemaryb-c4927 Too bad you found it necessary to upset him twice. Maybe the lesson here is to be nice to people. No learning the hard way needed. :)
Mike myer’s brother and he doesnt have plastic surgery!
That was DAVE NOT MARK
Totally jealous of Paul's CBC t-shirt
K remember the one with the automation?
Fish hands...
Anyone got a link?
Yes, they mostly stayed away from topical humour or specific political references, which means a lot of their stuff has not dated. SCTV was like that as well. SNL did do that, and as a result, a lot of their stuff from even a few years ago isn't funny anymore. (Though of course SNL still has great old sketches.)
Q has become so boring, they even make this nearly unwatchable.
I wish Paul was 15% less woke. Love the Kids though.
So captivated until towards the end he threw in that the future is female... the future is funny and if you sully the comedy of KITH by calling it female....
