I'd like to say that we understand that other people have gone through worse. We know it could have been worse for us. But that doesn't change that it's the hardest ordeal we've gone through as parents and wouldn't wish it on our worst enemies. We are grateful that we have our son alive and at home because others can't always say that, but it will still take us time to grieve and adjust. It's not a suffering competition, it's just our experience right now.
For everyone that already understands that, I appreciate you guys.

You might be right, it could've been way worse, but ddo not downplay your suffering, just because someone can't eat for an entire week, doesnt mean your suffering is less because you CAN eat, stay strong, and im sure that with a name as strong as Leon he'll have a nice and strong life, just a bit of adjusting (you know like healers should?) stay strong my friends

I'm so glad he is home. I'll keep him in my prayers. My son was also born a month early. It's hard to see your child will have a more difficult time than others. Grieving that potential less difficult life is totally natural. My boy is going to be 14 this summer and despite his difficulties, he brings me joy every day. Sending big hugs to you, your wife, and your family! You got this!

There is no such thing as having it worse when it comes to children troubles. The severity or lightness of other people's troubles do nothing to yours in regular issues, much less something as big a deal as a baby.

Anytime a baby is born: major adjustments have to be made be it the first child or 10 child. The main thing is getting baby home, healthy, and happy. Real life is more important than anything. Take care of yourself and your family. Everything else is secondary.

So it sounds like you had some serious parental scares. Reminds me of the few scares my parents have shared of when I was born; premature, intensive care for all sorts of health reasons, apparently a few actual heart stops iirc? Honestly take however long you need to focus on you and yours. You have your community's support through and through, we'll wait however long it takes

Same, 8 weeks premature, allergic to penicillin, couldn't eat, allergic to the latex gloves, stopped breathing a few times. NICU for 11 days. Being an adult knowing that was my origin story makes me super sympathetic to parents of other sick kiddos because I don't have kids yet but I remember being The sick kid. Rest, lots of love, self-care, and knowing you have a village who cares about you and yours are just what someone needs.

NICU baby here. 37 Years Old and still causing chaos~ You got this Drak, I know for my own parents it was touch and go for a while, it was scary according to them, not knowing if I'd make it (Breathing troubles, heart stopped a few times, couldn't keep anything down.. a lot of 'fun stuff'.) but take the time you need! Everything else comes secondary compared to making sure you and your family are alright~ Stay strong my dude!

Drak I'm sure most, if not all, of us understand that you're going through hell right now. I'm a father myself and I am glad to hear that baby Leon (apologies if I misspelled his name) is doing well. I hope that you, Yuni, and your girls are all ok and are taking this in strides. He may have been dealt a poor hand, but he is your son and will work through it. Especially with the family and the community behind him. Focus on your family first, we'll all be waiting here praying for good news.
I don't know who that comment, but I share your displeasure with it. Like I said, I'm a father too, and that comment did not sit well with me. That almost felt like an attack on the child and you don't attack a man's child.

I'm so glad the little one is home and he has upcoming surgeries to help him out. May he grow strong and healthy, and I look forward to hearing how fantastic of a kid he is soon! And please, reach out to someone in your life if you need something. You might think you're okay with money, but you also have three little girls along with little Lyon and it's not wrong to want help balancing childcare, food, and household things. If any of us can assist you, like helping you find a nanny or a cleaning service, let someone know!
But really, welcome home, little one, and may the Drak family have light and love and laughter.

You're taking all the precautions you need to, and putting your family first. Obviously, I'm an outsider who can never have even a fraction of all the details on everything, but from this internet rando's unsolicited point of view: you're a good father. You always care for your kids, and taking care of that many is pretty much a full time job in itself. Managing to actually support them is amazing, and doing this on TOP of it is just. Wow, you're really going through some shit.
As for the people commenting on "another one", f- 'em. I'd rather a couple as kind and caring and supportive as you two bring another child into this world than some folks bringing their first into it. Best of luck, and blessings of the Mothercrystal upon your freshly baked creampie.

Hi Drak-I've been a longtime-lurking subscriber, and your uploads with NEST have been a source of joy. I respect and appreciate you all the more with your conviction to be present with your family and set aside work. Even if the touring thing ends up remote, I would absolutely respect the choice to take this time with your family if that is what you feel is right. (I don't know your life, work, etc.)
Things like this are scary, setting boundaries is hard, and I cannot imagine what processing this can even be like. I wish you all the best, especially little Leon, and I am sending all the good vibes, prayers, hopes, and support that I can, even though we don't know each other. I will also say, as an adult (I'm only a little bit younger than you) with a significant and rare version of Spina Bifida... the technology and knowledge that is available now is leaps and bounds better than the past. I'm not someone who really prays a lot, but I sent all my love and prayers to you all and will continue to do so, and I hope things continue to improve for him. I hope Yuni has been recovering well too, it's always best to check on mom sometimes too :) take all the time you need and we will all be here when you're ready to tell us what you want us to know. ♥♥♥

So glad some stuff can be improved for Lyon, and I wish y'all the very best. I know it's probably one of the hardest things to do as a parent, but take care of yourselves too!!! It's obvious your kids are absolutely loved, but you and Yuni are too, so I hope y''all have all the support you need! Best of luck, Drak 💙

You take as much time as you need to adjust and take care of your affairs. You and your family's physical, mental and emotional health comes first. We'll still be here when you're ready/when the scary times pass. My thoughts are with you, Yuni and the kids

You of all people deserve the time you need to be sure your own flesh and blood is alright and well. Process for as long as you need. I'm glad Lyon is alright, and he is very lucky to have the family he has. I wish you all the love and support.

Even though you've heard it already dozens of time, take your time. Your boy and your family deserves your attention more than any of us have any right to even consider. Share what you feel confortable, in your own time. This kid will have amazing parents and sisters to take care of him, and I have no doubts he'll bring you so much joy that you'll forget these stressful times. But while these times are here, the best course of action is the one you're on : acknowledging it is hard and stressful, and taking the time and measures you need for all of you. I'm not one for prayers, but I'm keeping you in my thoughts. I have been lucky with my own son, and I cannot even fathom how I would have reacted in your situation, and I can only hope if I find myself in your shoes for our next kid, i'll be able to handle it as well as you. All the love from across the ocean.

Dude, everyone has their own unique kind of thing when a kid is born, it doesn't make your struggles any less valid than anyone else. Only thing that matters is you and your family are getting through this and we in the community are here to support you man. Videos and stuff can wait, we just wanna make sure you and your kid are okay first and foremost. Family is more important and we will be here when you come back. I hope the rest of the bumpy road smooths out, stay positive and hope you and family have a long happy and healthy road from here on out.

Anyone who tries to imply in any fashion that what you've gone through is your fault, or that you should still be giving them content despite it all, is clearly a heartless, selfish being who will know loneliness the rest of their life. But that means their words are empty and devoid of meaning too. You and Yuni and your family are so strong, and you'll be even stronger when all is said and done. You deserve all the time you need to get through it and process as you need. We'll all be here when you guys are ready, whether it's to share the burden of that story, or just to send you good energy and well wishes. As in Endwalker, so in real life too: You do not and will not walk alone. Sending you guys all the best! ♥♥♥

I was also born almost a month premature and was in the NICU for a few weeks, and I am in my mid 30's and perfectly healthy, so I'm sure your son will be just fine.
Also, considering how considerate Yoshi-P was to Asmongold about his mother's death during their interactions, I highly doubt anyone at his team would be offended that you would prefer to spend your time with your family and newborn instead of their game.
