  • TET Normandy day 08! Started from Forges les Eaux and finished in Envermeu. It was a great day when all is said and done, only a few fallen trees spoiled the ride, other than that it was a really decent ride. The countryside on this stretch of the Trans Euro Trail is fantastic, and it has a great deal of variety too. Farmland, woodland, pasture - there's mud, gravel and a few steep climbs too just for fun! Highly recommended. #solomototravel #husqvarna701 #transeurotrail ##adventuretravel

The scenery is great but it's the banging soundtrack and the commentary that makes these vids great, "Sh*t the bed, straight into another one!" 😅 Lovely stuff.

@@BobsBikingAdventures cool - will bear that in mind mate! I’m going to ride the Husky to Turkey next May, I’ll more than likely swap it when I come back. Probably for either a Kove - or another 701. But thanks for the offer of a test ride that’ll be grand! I’ll be watching your channel for updates!

Very cool! May I ask what made you pick the LC4 platform/Husky 701 for your adventures? Was an EXC450/500 also an option for you? They are even lighter and, though not designed for it, can be set up and used as an adventure bike, with even periods of maintenance if you're not racing these bikes

I have seen a few guys on 500s that have been ‘adventurized’ and have thought about going in that direction. They would be absolutely fantastic in the gnarly stuff - but the problem with the TET is that you find yourself lugging along in second and third for long stretches, and those bikes don’t enjoy doing that - and they will be very vibey on highway runs. The 701 is pretty happy just tractoring along in any gear really, it’s comfortable (ish) on the highway and easy to manhandle when you need to pick it up. I’m going to change bikes next year, and I’ll probably get another 701! 👍

@@frankiemaserati701 The vibes is something you have to accept when you make the choice for this kind of bike. What do you exactly mean with 'they don't enjoy that' (on long stretches), and is changing your gearing on a 450/500 a solution to keep them happy?

    • @SKLSNAPS

@@frankiemaserati701 Certainly an option, though an AJP PR7 would be my first choice

@@SKLSNAPS they’re racing machines mate, especially the 450, they just want to GO! I have seen a few 501s out on the lanes, but no 450s. I’m sure changing sprockets would make a difference - there are a few videos on here about 501 adventure builds, you may want to check those out. With easy riding and a larger clutch cover I’m sure you could stretch oil changes out to around 3k - I have no idea how frequently the valves would need checking though.
