- Replacing the cabin air filter on a 2022 Hyundai Tucson is easy and you can save time & money. In this video I'll show you how to do it yourself. I recommend replacing the cabin air filter at least once a year. For this vehicle, the original equipment (OEM) part number is L1C79-AC000 (you might also find it listed as 97133-L1000 which is the factory part).

My 2021 Hyundai was even easier to change out! Dealership wanted to charge $100!!! I was like hell no! Picked up a filter and watched this video and was done before the video ended. Thanks!
Perfect! I have a 2022 Tucson. I'd tried to follow someone else's video for 2004-2023 Hyundai Tucson, but it just didn't match. I searched again, found yours, and it was perfect; absolutely perfect! My almost 77 years-young (female!) fingers/arms almost couldn't manage the clip and squeezing the glove box sides in, but where there's a will there's a way, and I did it! So proud! Happy to have saved a bunch of money! Thank you!
The dealership I purchased mine from wanted $110 to replace this. I laughed in their face!!!
Thanks for the video, it is easy and cheaper to buy and do it myself then being charged $89 for new filter.
I bought a 4-layer filter from Amazon for $12.97, which is better than the ones used by Hyundai and Kia. The dealer wanted to charge $115 plus tax, so I decided not to go that route. I saved a lot of money, and it took less than a minute to replace it myself.
I have noticed too that the price of OEM filters has gone up significantly. The dealers want about $50 for it thru the parts dept, and online OEM expect to pay around $35 plus an amount for shipping. Its ridiculous. I bought a multi layer one at Wal-mart, I think its a Fram brand, for $19.95. It says it captures as good as an N95 mask.
Thank you for posting this video. You made this job very easy to complete 😂
Good instruction!
Thanks a lot.Mine was really dirty
Great video. Helped a lot when I went to install. Clear, good camera angles and simple instructions. Thanks.
Thank you... I'll do mine next time. Thanks for your videos 📹.
Great stuff, very helpful!
Very helpful instructions!
Super healpful, thanks!
Isn't it funny that everyone says the cabin air filter is behind the glove box but if you ask them where the engine is, it's in front of the glove box.
The support rod is a damper.
The hinges are at the bottom edge of the glove box.
Thank you!!!!
Good man
Wonderful presentation. Clear and concise. Thank you!
Was fairly easy, took longer to empty the glove compartment and then figure out how to get the door back on because it wasn't lined up properly..thanks
Hyundayi service center asked for 120 dollars for changing that.
In amazon i got it for 15 dollars.
Wow. That's a lot. Seems a bit excessive even for a dealer.
Thanks for saving me $60.
amazing work, thank you very much 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for the video. Just watched this after my Hyundai service center charged me $60 in labor to replace mine 😂
They wanted to charge my wife $84 , I paid 15.99 plus 8.99 for shipping 😅
genius man thanks for this video. how often you change this filter?
I go with once a year or 15k miles.
Hey man cool video! Where did you find the filter so I can buy it online and do it myself, thanks in advanced!
I used this site: hyundai.oempartsonline.com/
@@bml33 thank you!
The plastic pin on the right is really hard to squeeze 😢
Yeah, I noticed that too. You do have to use force but carefully because you don't want to break it off.
Is it the same for a 2020 model ??
No. I did a video on the cabin filter for my 2017 Tucson and the 20 has the same instrument panel, so that one should be the same.
Will this be the same for a 2021 tuscon?
No, the Tucson was redesigned for 22. I did a video on the 2017 Tucson and I think it should be the same as that, as I think they have the same dashboard from '16-'21 except for the floating radio part.
@@bml33 okay, thank you!
Is that Mobis Filter what Hyundai gave ?
Yes I do believe the Hyundai filters are made by Mobis.
Mobis is hyundai ... they do make parts for hyundau
