    That is definitely the seat of the chair. Those style of chairs were very popular in parlors.

    Gem, I believe that you have a true gift for coloring and presentation! I enjoy watching your videos and seeing how you approach each and every page and subjects on them. I am still taken aback by how splendid the China looks! I hope you take a little video of your newfangled lazy Susan or corner cabinet spinner? Share it with us? You are doing a real bang up job with this book. I know that we all are excited to see how you progress and the next choices you make! Oh I agree with others, that the problem area is the seat of the chair.

    Morning! I’m in Calgary, Alberta Canada and so enjoy your videos. Looks to me like the area beneath the table is the seat of the chair. Good luck on your renovations. Love to hear you talk about things. It’s like having a chat with a friend.

    Gem, I feel that bottom circular piece is an area rug under the table. I have seen a teal kitchen and it was beautiful with white accents and stainless appliances. Much love to all. Have you begun planning Cavemas? I recently watched last year and brought out early Christmas 🎄 for me.

    Love that picture and what you're doing with it! I hear you about the inconvenience of the new lockdown - *sigh* My husband was made redundant last month, and we really should be selling our house so we can move in order to be mortgage free for our new business...then lockdown happened! We can put our house on the market, but it's the visiting the new city to house-hunt that's out.

    Hey Gem, sounds like things are going well. Idea for kitchen color...I think it's an Arteza pencil color, Spanish orange? Anyway , I want to paint my kitchen that color. You can use blues with it. It's such a lovely color. I grew up in a Mexican neighborhood...I saw that color alot. All my accent colors in kitchen are either turquoise and dark blue. I know how you feel with your new appliance and wanting to show everyone. When I got a new toilet seat that lit up. 🙃 And also the faucet lights up when you turn it on 🤣 I sent all my friends to the bathroom! 😂🎉😁 That aside, love how the picture is turning out. I love my Inktense!!! I need to get this book. I think I've said that before. ❣🤩❣

    I live in the US (in western Pennsylvania) and here we’ve had 3 waves of it it’s in its 3rd one but the first two was everywhere around us like you never hit my area which is extremely rural lol but this time now we’re considered a hot spot....hopefully it leaves soon from everywhere. But I definitely think being in a rural area helps. Good luck and stay safe! Also would love to see the trays your taking about they sound amazing!!!!! 🤍

    The tea set turned out adorable! Love the way the blue blended with the blue of the print. I now kinda want to play in this book. I think that part that you are wondering about is the arm of the chair that is where the viewer of the page is sitting. So it would likely be wood. Your ideas for your Christmas decorations sounds like a lot of fun. Are you going to decorate outside too? Oh and I must ask since you mentioned wooly cattle...is the fur soft or is it kinda rough?

    • @TheColourCave
      @TheColourCave  4 года назад

      I will be decorating a little outside the house, we have a lot of renovation work going on so it will be limited outside this year, but that's okay. As for the cattle - the hair is coarse.

    I feel like The Sword in the Stone is one of the most underrated Disney films. It's fabulous and not only does no one ever talk about it there is basically no merchandise for it. It's hard to find anyone under the age of 30 who has even seen it.

    On a more relevant note, I think it's the seat of the chair x

    • @TheColourCave

      I showed your suggestion to Mr Gem 😁 I think we are going to go for 1 vibrant and 1 pale teal shade, and just have selected areas painted in the darker of the two colours.

    You need nice neighbours in these strange times. My life is pure hell with my neighbours. Just have new ones on one side. I have Jane Fonda having exercise classes on one side, outside my bedroom from 4am and Dolly Parton on the other singing like she's on stage all day and night. Drives me nuts. I would absolutely love to be on a farm in the middle of nowhere. My dream is just to have a house with no neighbours.

    • @TheColourCave
      @TheColourCave  4 года назад

      The thing is, you still have neighbours, they are just a bit further away from the buildings and you still share a boundary with them, and believe me they can still cause problems. In the past we have had people buy cottages next to our land who have 'moved to the country' from towns/cities. They have no clue how farming works, and complain constantly.
      Animal health turned up recently because someone reported us for having an animal roaming around with horrendous injuries to their 'back end'. We took the officer out to the field, where a cow had given birth and was now delivering the placenta 🙄
