This is the only series whether be in Live action or anime format that has explained eSports Mmorpg and payed homage to both in such a great and artistic way. Love it ❤️
It really understand that makes other plays so formidable is not action speed, but game knowledge. All the top pros here are walking encyclopedias of the game’s mechanics. The main character is just the first person mad enough to build a character around it. Upon finding out who he is their first response is “is he insane?” And their immediate second response is, “no, wait. Of course he’s insane. When is he not flexing on everyone in the game?” It’s like when you encounter someone who specializes in joke weapons. “Let’s see, he’s wielding a mop. His player ID is Mr. Mop Head. He’s naked. Oh, shit I’m screwed.”
For those who are wondering why Huang Shaotian is having trouble with Ye Xiu despite being a fellow god-level player is because: 1. Ye Xiu plays an unspecialized, which is a non-class that has all of the level 20 and below skills from all classes (for reference the level cap at this point in the story is 70). This is basically a trail class for new players to get a feel for what class they want to pursue, and if the players don’t choose a class by the time they reach level 20, they cannot learn any new, higher-level skills. These skills, however, have low cooldowns and can be chained back-to-back in unpredictable ways. Moreover, an unspecialized has never been used in a pro-setting before because weapon-switching to access different class skills require a cooldown (which Ye Xiu’s Umbrella bypasses), also because few are crazy enough to learn all classes to a master-level and, most importantly, because the class advancement update basically made the unspecialized a relic of the past (just like our old man Ye Xiu). 2. Ye Xiu is proficient at every class in the game, which allows him to utilize the unspecialized’s strengths (low cooldown skills, the pros’ unfamiliarity with an unprecedented character with no class, special combos available only to the unspecialized due to chaining skills from different classes) 3. He muted Huang Shaotain lol
Don’t forget he has 120 skills to use. His apm must be insane to constantly move back and forth between skill sets. Forgot playing a piano, he could play 3 at the same time.
My favorite character is Ye Xiu. But Huang Shaotian is so unique and funny. I just love how he just never shut up, even if he's getting his ass kicked 😂 We love Shao's personality 🥰

Seeing this fight, the main reason why Huang has problems with Ye Xiu is because Ye Xiu is unpredictable(and he also muted Huang's trashtalk). Im curious how Wang Jiexi would've perform since Wang Jiexi is also known for being insanely good at 1 v 1 and also being unpredictable and this time both of them will be at their best(Ye Xiu basically maxed out on his character skill wise if Im not mistaken while Wang Jiexi will play on his main account this time).
in the season they enter the pro scene ye is the starting player for all the 1v1 death battles. WJX was either anchor(last position) or in the teamfights so they never end up meeting in the novel~ But you did see it in the 10th server :)

Not a manga reader, but I'm curious how Ye Qiu would handle the commentating in a duel if muting Huang wasn't an option. Even when they worked together, Ye Qiu found it hard to deal with him.
In a professional match all players are muted, even teammates are muted with each other. That means no voice chat. The way a team could communicate is by typing. However, the game too has a team chat and all chat. Fun fact. Huang shoatian changed the rule because before players are allowed to chat even when they are dead. However, huang types a lot, the organizers made a rule to make all dead players unable to chat.

Jun Mo Xiao is a character made by both Ye Xiu and Su Muqiu before Muqiu died. But yeah… would’ve been nice for them to make Jun Mo Xiao a mixed of them two but it is what it is.

The surprise comes from the fact that the skills belong to different character classes and usually you will need to switch to the class-appropriate weapon to use the class' skills but with that custom-made weapon, Ye Qiu is just chaining them because the weapon is effectively multiple weapons in one. So, the "combo" is surprising because usually it is not doable by 1 person. It is also supposed to highlight Ye Qiu's ability to play all classes well compared to the other pros whom specialise in just one class due to class advancement at some point in the game which locks them into just using skills from that one class.
