- This is my unbiased review of both Every Plate and Hello Fresh meal delivery kits. This is a great way to get dinner on the table and also reduce time spent planning and shopping. We have loved the convenience of these programs. I hope you enjoy this review of both the EveryPlate and hello fresh meal kits.

I love both I only use hello fresh when I have extra money but I like to save money so I mostly use everyplate
I love hello fresh! Me and my fiancé use it every week. We think the flavors are amazing! The pasta dishes are my favorite along with the tacos and they just have great options that we love so much!! It’s totally worth it to not have to plan out meals and grocery shop every week for dinner! Also, I never cooked before hello fresh. I basically learned how to cook using hello fresh and I have learned so much about how to cook certain foods that I now feel like I can confidently cook almost anything. Best decision I think I’ve made in 2020 lol.

I love Hello Fresh! I just got to where I make it every single day. I had zero motivation to cook after my mom passed away. I look forward to cooking each day now. A friend gave me a code for a free every plate box. Since it's much cheaper I thought I'd try it but just by looking at the recipes, I'm still leaning towards Hello Fresh.

Very helpful, I appreciate the review. I’ve ordered first box of Hello Fresh. I think I need to reconsider at least trying Every Plate too. I like your suggestion of perhaps using both services for more variety and cost savings.

I've been thinking about using two different companies, ... Just to pleasantly try other dishes and flavors!
I've read that it's not good to pour the "ice" down the drain as there are other materials in it. I pour it into a wide flat plastic box, leave it outside, and it dries up. What I'm left with is plastic looking pieces that I can throw in the trash.
Interesting idea. I've never put it down the drain because it made me nervous, too. I reuse the ice packs and/or give to others that need large ice packs....especially useful right now in the summer months!

Hey girl! I just ordered another box of everyplate. I like them the best I think I have tried a few others but cant remember lol.
I think it's gotten even better lately. It makes life simpler to have a few meals already planned for me each week!

Can you pause your subscription for Every Plate if you're undecided if you want to keep it? Great review.
I’m not sure about a pause, but you can skip weeks. I’ve skipped a month or so at a time, and then go in an skip another month.
I have a question do u pay every week then like if it’s 20.00 do they charge 20 dallors every week so it will add up to 60.00 month depending on the month .
I pay the weeks I get meals. So, if I place an order for this week, I pay when it ships.
HelloFresh owns most of the meal kit services, the only difference being the price point of each one targets a different demographic.
I've been using Everyplate for a few weeks, and find that the servings of potatoes, rice, or pasta are twice as large as the veggie and meat portions. Is this also true for Hello Fresh?
I feel like we get more vegetables with Hello Fresh. I'm not sure about getting more meat, but I definitely think it is better quality meat. We noticed that particularly with beef. My next Hello Fresh delivery is this weekend, so I'll have to double check the meat portions and let you know if I see a difference!
@@SavingwithChristina Did you see a difference between in the quality and quantity between the two?
Rex Jay I prefer the quality of Hello Fresh over EveryPlate. The veggies with hello fresh seem fresher. I did not, however, notice a difference in portion size of the meat. Overall, I think hello fresh is a higher quality. I guess this is to be expected, since the price point is considerably lower with EveryPlate. The customer service with both are fantastic.
@@SavingwithChristina Did you find portion size of white carbs to be the same for both, and smaller portion size for non-white veggies than white carbs for Hellofresh?
@@tenossos Hello Fresh sends more veggies and has a higher variety (and quality) of veggies. I have noticed that EveryPlate does a lot of potatoes, and have not noticed that as often with Hello Fresh. A meal from Hello Fresh does not include an overly large portion of white carbs. I eat mostly vegetables (not much meat or refined grains) and have been happy with the quantity of veggies Hello Fresh provides with each meal. I do, however, add additional veggies to all our meals because we order 2 servings per meal from the various companies, but we are feeding more than 2 people at each meal. Hope that helps!

Yes. We still alternate weeks. I really enjoy the convenience!! I’ve found a lot of meals I really like from both companies. I add extra veggies to mine sometimes because I don’t eat a lot of meat. We also do the 2 person meal plan for 3 people, so we add a little here and there.
Now that it has been about a year since this review, are you still using Every Plate and Hello Fresh? If so, any new thoughts on the two services?
We still really enjoy them both. Love the recipes with hello fresh, but love the price point of EveryPlate. We still do both and alternate weeks. It’s super simple to skip weeks

What do you do for the other days of the weeks?
I like vegetarian recipes, so I do those often. I get recipes from Pinterest. My hubby likes pasta dishes, so I typically do one pasta dish per week. My kid likes shrimp and chicken, so I’ll do one of those with a veggie and some type of carb like brown rice or Israeli couscous.
Do the discount deals only work with new members?
Yes. Or a new email address.

we had hello fresh for a while and the chicken was always rotten. the quality of the produce was not there and somethin was always either leaking or just strait up rotten.if everyplate is not as good as hello fresh then whats the point
Ugh! That sounds gross. I haven’t had that experience with hello fresh at all.
@@SavingwithChristina yeah we switched to blue apron and at first was good they sent us fresh chicken but then the deliveries starting coming late or something was busted or the box just wasn't cold.
I bought both last week. I didn't find Hello Fresh to be worth the extra cost. They meals are more complicated in flavor which is nice sometimes, but I grew up kickboxing and that meant bland, simple, healthier dishes lower in sodium with a lot of protein and simple carbs/starches, so maybe it's just my tastebuds. In the end, both were great and both had at least 1 recipe I had never tried before.
I definitely prefer the price point of EveryPlate- and I add a few veggies here and there Bc I prefer a lot of vegetables in my dinners. So glad you enjoyed. :)

I tried hello fresh. First box the chicken breast had thawed and leaked all over. Another box was missing the noodles. Canceled.

what do you mean by better quality?
I feel like ingredients with hello fresh are just higher quality products comparatively. So, maybe like comparing a store brand (EveryPlate) to a name brand (hello fresh). We still get EveryPlate most weeks because of the price point. But it’s just more basic (fewer ingredients and less expensive ingredients) overall than hello fresh.
I was so disappointed when I signed up for Hello Fresh and it showed me what meals it was sending out.. We don't eat any of it!! smh and the Prices are deceiving
It gives you 10-12 options to choose from. The only time they will choose your meals for you is if you don’t go in and select them yourself. Sorry it didn’t work out for you.

I found Hello fresh not accurate according to picture.
As in the pictures on the recipe card don’t match what is made? Or website pictures? I haven’t noticed this.
