I encourage everyone to read about the man our father pretty much the founder of Laos him and khmer wife who brought religion (Prabang statu) into Laos from her father who rule khmer Kingdom at the time.. And I believe Lan Xang (not the Kingdom) still exists all the way up to 1975 before communist took over.. Please don't get me wrong by this post...I read and I drink with the old folks then they always be telling a story about Laos or any others cause when the communist took over, Laos history was lost and only the story we may know is that the story get past on from person to person.. Thank you..ps I still bump this.

I enjoyed my parents stories growing up. Also, the lao language is almost not spoken anymore amongst a bunch of the little kids :( they only understand a little or speak some words.
