There was no need to even review this battle..lol JSU drum section has always been that it factor.. will give it to southern they snare line clean.. wayyy better than the past years. But they just don't have any color and dynamics in there cadences..mainly because they have no quints or nothing that creates pitch..all of there cadences sound like warm-ups..W.T won
Facts on quints but it’s also the lack of movement… very old school way of playing, kinda glad they don’t have quints tho, it’d be too much of a style change for their program as a whole
Just to be clear, bands with no quints can be same level as bands with quints. It’s traditional for SU to ALWAYS go with no quints but they still a decent drumline nevertheless 😅. As long as they got the style, they pretty much straight.

Southern doesn't put the focus in drumline battles, obviously, so until they do, they take an L. But full bandwise, Southern is a bully to other schools. I've seen Southen crank up on Grambling at the Bayou Classic BotB and drown them out completely...

@@koju3891 i think if HU (hampton university) drumline keeps improving they will be a better match for a battle with A&T. I cant put cold steel in the same breath as mdfs.... I just can't do it. Mdfs is just to dam precise and their degree of difficulty with everything loaded with rudiments is just too dam much. Even mdfs symbol line is ridiculous smmfh.....
