Great video! I've mained Lugia V since the beginning (really loved the ability and playstyle), but needed some more info on the Noivern Ex inclusion. Really appreciated that!
I like the idea of bringing in radiant zard, luminous energy and crisis punch. burning through so much energy on the Chins could hurt the end game and this seems like a good insurance policy against hammer. Need Collapsed stadium to get rid of lugia or Lum. The one thing I still need to test is TM evolution. The idea of turn 1 going 2nd and having a Min and Lugia V evolved sounds pretty fun to me. That Noivern Def has me thinking though
no stadium bumps is crazy. Early collapsed stadium and league hq disrupts this deck pretty well already so having no outs to those is pretty sus. Lost box teching in temple of sinnoh will also screw this deck hard too.
2 stadium seems necessary for the reasons mentioned already, additionally sinnoh shutting off jet is a big way blocklax can beat lugia Edit: and mist is important against tina and decks that play moon
I tried playing with luxray and reversal energy, pretty good for some late game while in the losing position, I really liked it. Also I think stadiums are super necessary, Collapsed being of them, still, Cinccino is looking tasty
@jakesaround I personally know what most cards do in format. Old and new. To use a 1-1 line for Noivern and hope they don't boss it up is risky. Using a guaranteed effect of vacuum is much better, albeit difficult to find.
@@KantoCacho yeah the whole Noivern "tech" strategy against a future/hands deck is too only play down the Noivern or at least get to a single Noivern board state. Then as you attack each turn they will never be able to attack back since all their Pokémon are basics. I do think vacuum in general could be good in Lugia cause you need some stadium bumps for other matchups. But if you include a vacuum for the future/hands deck specifically and you play the Noivern then you are teching for the tech which isn't really worth it.

Just did my first Bo3 against turbo hands. I got to say that Noivern didnt do enough. He was able to gust around it the whole game with Prime Catcher, Bundle, Boss, and Counter Catcher if i went ahead in prizes. Perhaps running vitality band or maximum belt is better?
@@IvyWall yea that's not really good card cause most of the time why would you waste the bench space and search card for irons bundle when it takes 2 to 3 turns set up lugia just doesn't seem worth it and with new ace spec prime catcher makes it useless tbh
11:10 probably also just a freewin against miraidon. noivern sounds good. But the lists play salvatore, i guess that makes more sense then. You can just attack with it going 2nd before doing any lugia thingys
@@isoldmymumforrp5371 you only do 70 you would have to have 2 cincinno in case of boss and an evolved noivern and also if they only bench one regieleki they can play the 7 prize game? But i could be wrong i dont really play either deck and cant they boss around it
Would never play Turo over collapsed or more collapsed for that situation but even then it's so hard to find when you need it would rather just be more consistent and win the trade through Cinccino
@@AzulGG yea maybe, but there’s a list that won a regional that run’s two collapsed. You don’t run tech cards because they’re consistent, you run them in case you need them
The cinccino specifically says that it does 70 times the number of special energy CARDS attached to it. So even if you wanted to reversal energy would only count for 1, unless you wanted to use Luxray for the mirror match then you put 1 reversal in otherwise it's not worth it.

temple really only hurts jet and snorlax, in my play not a big issue. but I am surprised no collapsed.

Snorlax stall kinda fucks everyone. But stadiums are often discarded by Lugia anyway so no stadiums isn’t really that bad

Noivern definitely worth it. But no vacuum against future hands decks is tough. If you can't get rid Heavy baton idk what you'd do
But isn’t that why you play Noivern? Nothing in that deck can attack you so does it matter if you remove the baton?
