Changing the tires on your riding mower isn't easy. It requires hard work and some special tools. But with some guidance and practice you can do it.
The front tires on my riding mower/garden tractor were worn out and flat. The process of changing the tires involves: breaking the bead, removing the old tire, installing the new tire, setting the bead.
Changing the tires is something that everyone can do, but it takes practice.

Most people would edit out the "fail" @10:18 . But i admire anyone who's trying hard & just makes a mistake, owns it, learns, then finds success. Mistakes are a sign we're at least trying new things. This vid helped me.

I change tires for a living. I love watching people struggle with the wrong tools trying to change a tire. Seeing someone struggle when I could have had it on an hour ago lol

I don"t change tires for a living but I concur that using the right tools helps tremendously. This video should be labeled "change a mower tire on a budget", he managed to do it but with more struggle than me using just tire spoons, soapy water and 3 woodworking clamps on a workbench (that was pretty cheap too). I did break a sweat though! :)

I was having a hard time breaking the bead. C clamp worked like a charm. Thanks for the video.

super easy, insert a tire spoon gently into the bead and push a little bit upwards, then move the spoon and repeat around the rim.

Great video! There is no easy way to do this at home, and you did a nice job showing each step. Have to have some patience. Each tire change gets a little easier. Thank you.

THANK YOU! I had a heck of a time trying to do this based on other videos. Yours gave me the needed step-by-step and details regarding the orientation of the tire iron, etc.

Put new tires on really bad rims. Tried rope around tire method...smashing rim in ... nothing. Sprayed a couple shots of starter fluid in, hit it with a long lighter (eye protection needed) and POP! I can't believe it, but it really worked when nothing else would. Thanks. J-

Work Smarter not Harder, this is harder than normal car tires. Take it to any local tire shop. If you’ve used them before they’ll do it very inexpensive if not even free. Second bead on these will get you hurt before you get it on unless you a pro.

Most Car tire shops will not do the front 2 smaller tires. Took it to 5 different ones and Wal-mart Car service Centers. They all say the same thing. There machine does not do those small Diameter tires.

Be easier just to cut the old tire off also. Can use some tin snips, or cut off wheel.

If you have a big tire spoon flip the bead up over the rim and then just hit the edge of the spoon with a hammer and work it around.

using the ratchet strap method is a much safer way to seat the tire bead.

Couldnt you lay a piece of 2x4 on the bead and break it by driving a vehicle part way onto the 2x4? I dont have a valve tool but I can deplete most of the air in the wheel

    Very dangerous using,
    "brake cleaner,"
then igniting in close proximity to face and supply can!
With such a small tire I used silicone spray on bead, "no ignition."
Then placing tire on ground, pushing a couple times on tread surface, (tire upright) while inflating, was very successful!

WOW...another vid showed break bead with 4x4 and car....the clamp method is way too "methodical" but I LOVE the Starter Fluid...can't wait to try that but use safety googles and check your liability and fire insurance just in case....just joking....that would take the fun out of it.
