Love hearing from y'all in the comments- let us know what you think about all the musical heritage that has come from Appalachia!

Honestly, what I enjoyed and respect the most about this man's sharing is the message (to me, the realization) that there are countless artists and bands who produce wonderful music "under the radar", while keeping an art form, a very valid one, alive and well. This video makes me curious to learn more about "mountain music" and those who create it. Great interview!

I really appreciate that insight. I've met quite a few such musicians who don't play for fame or fortune, but purely for form. Thanks for watching!

I watched this video twice. Good to see such a caring, passionate and humble man give of his time to offer people such a gift of recording close to home without having to go so far from home. He has been blessed because he has blessed so many others. Keep the videos coming!

With all the programs around Appalachia to teach young people mountain music hopefully that studio will continue on for a long time. I was relieved when he said his son is a musician. I know times change but there's so much value in the old ways and some things just shouldn't be lost to history. Thanks Josh. 😊👍

Hey Alan the little red headed girl down the street Connie Spears, Shirley Spears daughter, Lovell family and Mamaw and Papaw Phipps, old neighbors on Railroad Ave. Thanks for the basketball and music I heard over the years growing up! My husband has played for a lot of famous people over the years. We live in the Austin, TX area now. I love this. Everything you said is true and humble. Talked to Ron Short years ago and he was so inciteful about the biz . I keep up with BSG and asked Shug Hall if that was your son and he raved about him. Next time I visit we will see him perform. All those folks at your studio I did not know they were famous until I grew up. Very cool.. Take care.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I would say look no further than central Appalachia to get started- from southwest Virginia to East Kentucky & East Tennessee and over into Western North Carolina. You'll find a region RICH in musical heritage and talent!

Don’t generally like country music but, there are a few I can listen to. I am more 60s-70s rock.
