Every morning, evening before bed, and before meals, our family prays in the Lord's Prayer that God would "give us this day our daily bread." This daily bread includes everything that has to do with the support and needs of the body such as food, drink, clothing, shoes, house, home, land, money, good friends, faithful neighbors, and the like. We receive with great thanksgiving that which God has provided to our family through you. We cannot thank you enough for the generous gift you have provided to us this Advent and Christmas season by way of RUclips! Christmas joy in Jesus! =) Jeff, Zoe, Isaak & Adelyn Windoloski 2nd year seminarian Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne, IN
I am so glad you have enjoyed this video! Thus far, I have heard an enormous amount of positive feedback on these one-hour videos based on each season of the church year. I will plan to continue to post these for each season of the church year updating them every year as I post more individual recordings. Advent and Christmas joy in Jesus! =) Jeff
Yes, indeed! Many of these in this recording are done using the Hauptwerk program in my home using the 1675/88 Hus/Arp Schnitger organ. I did make a good amount of adjustments to the ranks to permit the organ to sound similar to the Richard and Fowkes organ at First Lutheran Church of Boston =)
Jeff! I recognize most of these but don't have a LSB in front of me (living overseas)- so, hey, you need to help us out with at least the titles!! Then I can tell you my favorites. Good luck with the new baby!
You are one hundred percent correct; it would probably be worthwhile at some point if I go through and put in time stamps for each of the hymns listed in the recording. One of these days! =) Baby is doing well and was born at the beginning of last week; my wife is doing well, too. We are working on the sleep thing, but nothing we aren't used to as this is our third little one. God is good!
What are your favorite hymns for Advent from the Lutheran Service Book??! 😊
Be sure to share in the comments section below!
Thank you Jeff and God's blessings on your service!
My pleasure; it is always a joy to serve the Lord!! God is good! =)
Thanks!

Jeff, this is a very beautiful compilation of Advent hymns! I would love to see you play them on your wonderful Baroque-style organ too!

@@JeffWindoloski I didn’t know you were using Hauptwerk! It sounded very realistic!
