Al Bundy has nothing on you as a shoe salesman. Great review of the boots. Nice to hear honest reviews by people who actually use the gear in the field. Sharing is caring. Ken wins the lottery today.
I have been wearing the Viking Calk rubber boots with and without liners for over 30 years now with great results. 20 years on one pair. They make a regular tread boot too. I switch out the 4 calks in the arch in front of the heal with the longer calks for maximum traction walking on trees. The studs are ok for walking on ice but for maximum traction calks are hard to beat.
The Husqvarna liners have held up well for me, but for temperatures in the low teens and below zero the Sorel Glacier liners (wish Sorel made Glaciers in steel toe) or part wool liners with an added wool blend pad to help absorb moisture work better.
I watched 4:21 of this video and stopped to pull out my boot shine box. I only wear steel toe cowboy boots. Now I can listen to the rest of this video while polishing boots. Thank you.
Hey Chris and Woodyard subscribers I have a lot of videos to catch up like 5 of them, great video again! Just got back to Rhode Island from Colombia, South Carolina Fort Jackson my son’s army graduation! It was fantastic and beautiful and I loved the weather. I going seat down and watch the last video’s of Woodyard ! Wahoo !
I saw a vid of Husky motorcycles racing on an oval track, on ice! The tires had ice spikes that let them race almost like on dirt or asphalt! So I'd bet these boots are plenty good enough to play ice golf or tennis, or maybe split wood at hyper speed!! Don't let Kenny near them, we have enough different sports already! In my younger days, I bought a pair of Hush Puppies that were bright red, and on sale! I thot they were pretty cool, for about a year. As they faded, not so much. I wore them everywhere! Tried my best to wear them out!! Took over 4 yrs! I couldn't even sneak up on the firewood pile with those red shoes!! Me, bein' a quick study, realized after a couple of years, why they'd been on sale! Finally painted them over with shoe dye,...then I had purple shoes!! But they were sooo comfortable! Even scared most of the snow snakes away too!! It'll be fun to see if Kenny tries to master the ball room stomp, on ice! GNI
Great review Chris!! There's a lot of guys on the wood cutting channels that don't wear anything but tennis shoes !!! I can only hope their luck doesn't run out on them!
Man you really make great videos, I've been watching you for years and you are one of the channels that inspired me to make my own channel. Now that I've been editing my own for a minute I really see the quality of your content. Great cinematography, quality audio, great background music. Thanks for giving me a high bar to aim for, hoping I can work towards your level someday. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoy studded boots for ice fishing. I used to have a pair of waterproof neo overshoes, and I would wear them over my muck boots. They were not steel toed or any form of protection.
Great review Chris- I wear the Husqvarna rubber boots during the spring breakup when things get really sloppy. Like now. The nice thing is there waterproof and the sole sheds the mud better then most boots. I don’t find them very comfortable, but I tolerate them to keep my feet dry. They are well made. I did order one size up. I chose not to put studs in mine. My go to winter boots are Hoffman Pac boots with a steel toe. I wear the Hoffman boots 5-6 months out of the year.
nice of them to send you a pair of boots. Christmas is coming early for Kenny....lol. l went to their website but didn't see an American size equivalent. they were $119 and the liners were @ $17 bucks. they look like a good boot. i have a hard time getting my foot down in there. thanks for the review.
Shoe / boot rotation is the only way to go. Work boots, dress shoes, walking or running shoes , all of them should rest and dry out for at least a day. Very good Practice.
Hey Chris I purchased the ezzdoo chainsaw tool a while ago and I’ve been having problems with the Chuck tightening it loosens very easily while sharpening. Just wondering if you’ve had this problem or not? I’m thinking of buying a Dremel instead.
Good morning Chris!!😀😀 Kenny is definitely a lucky guy!! Those are very nice boots for winter cutting!! If I was hand cutting all the time I would have a pair. Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚 Logger Al
Georgia boots make Muddog2 but they don't come with a boot sock I recommend them if you're feet overheat easily and their water proof. I use them for driveway and sidewalk removal. Leather upper rubber raparound works well under bids.
Hey Chris! Really great review on the boots! Really well presented an demonstrated! Happy to hear that you’re giving the boots to Ken where they don’t seem to fit :). Really look like a great pair of boots for sure! Thanks for this video! Really enjoyed it! Your channel is 💯 awesome!! All the best! Andrew from NB :)
Hey Chris are those boots comfortable and warm to wear them all day long. I do snow shoveling at my job but haven’t find a really good ones, those look really nice and comfortable.
Do you think you will get another pair of the husky boots, they do look like a great pair of boots especially for winter and mud season , great video , thanks Chris
I bought a pair of these, last year. Turned out, I ordered them a couple sizes too big...I may try this felt liners, see if that will take up some of the slack.😂
Used to wear these boots 20 years ago but always found them extremely heavy and absolutely zero ankle movement front to back so were extremely uncomfortable to drive in but maybe the newer ones are better
Studded boots make walking on smooth concrete feel like ice be careful at gas stations and such😉. wearing wool socks year around now and it got rid of the damp foot I got wearing cotton socks in the summer.😳
Yes. I have been using wigwams year around for quite a while. When the salesman at boot store told me about them i told him he was full of s!!t. Needless to say I am eating my words.
@@austindenotter19 Wigwam has been a good brand, finding socks with 65-85% wool is difficult many brands advertise wool blend that turn out to be 15-20% wool🥲

Great review of the boots!! My Hisea boots are stiff, still trying to break them in. Ill look at Hair. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day

I got those Haix boots. They are stiff. I use that middle hook and it makes tightening them much easier. I do feel a lot safer.

Haix for the win!

The felt liners will compress with use thus making more room in the boot.
So let Kenneth borrow them for six months and then they will be fine😊
Yes they will.
Yup, good idea!
Haix is not giving boots away to be tested. Or how do you get on the list
Yup, I found out it is done now just today.
I dont see the giveaway on their website Chris. Is it somewhere else? Thanks
Sorry, I do not know what is going on with it??

Yes they are.
Appleton was mentioned on our local news for a record snowfall yesterday.
Yup got hammered yesterday and not far away the only got a couple inches. Pushed snow with loader and it was heavy making it snort a little.
Ok time for spring. No more snow talk.😁
