The Yalong Ensemble from Tsedang in Tibet toured in Europe in the spring of 1996 (Tibet). They were the musical section of an Tibetan Opera Troupe, that performed the opera of Prince Norsang.
The titles of the songs:
1. Ode to the Red Palace (Tibetan transcription: Pooh Chang Ma Peu Theu Lo);
2. So Beautiful is the Shepherdess (Tibetan transcription: Djama Nesu Dewa).
This is a digitised video of a registration of the program "Reiziger in Muziek" (Traveller in Music), VPRO television, presented by Han Reiziger, whom you see at the end. The registration is from the beginning of April 1996.

The vocal harmony at 0:34 bears a lot of resemblance to the melodies played on instruments in the Tibetan Buddhist temples. Interesting!
