I agree that listening to singers like Frank and Ella and Billie and Sarah and Tony etc. is one of the greatest things we can do, and also singing along with them and leaning the lyrics too. You don't have to be a great singer, just an amateur and it's great ear training and really adds to your musical skills. In addition, it really helps to remember hundreds of different melodies ---- just think of the title and the first few lines and you'll have it. Lastly, you don't mention that Sinatra sings behind the beat.
