Nice work! I personally think the paracord is over rated but it does look good in many cases. I have pulled the innards out of the sheathing and it helps to flatten the cord. In the end, I like leather cordage for a wrap, just My opinion! Heavy duty fishing line will also work and looks good! I'll keep watching, all in all I like most of your ideas!
Thank you. Some people like the feel of the paracord wrap, a bit easier to grip than bare wood. Leather is nice too, I agree.

Love your channel. Soo everything is wet and cold here. So I haven’t been able to collect any wood. So went to the store got some dowels. But I also picked up some 2x2x8 furring strips. You ever use anything like this? Not sure how I’m going to attack it yet
Thank you very much! Never used furring strips as they are usually pine wood here... but I did do a great Celtic Knot stick out of 1x2" oak lumber (2 pieces laminated together to make a 2x2"). That came out great I think (see the video for instructions). But let me know how it turns out, you might have to keep the stick a bit thicker to account for it being pine... but it will be easier to carve overall!
Eres muy metodico en tus creaciones jason. Me gusta eso. Cuanto es la circunferencia de tu baston?. Yo siempre lo dejo mas al natural la madera, pero veo que en tus creaciones les das una circunferencia ideal .
Hi Jason….fellow Canadian….love to watch your videos…..just started making walking sticks….had a bunch I picked up in the raw…a few years ago…..so now you are educating me….Which part of Canada are you located?
Hi! Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching. I'm in the Montreal area. Glad you getting into stick making. Hope I can give you a bit of inspiration
That's a great question, I don't usually measure the amount used. But I get 3 handles out of a 50ft unit of paracord with a few feet to spare so I'd say around 15ft per wrap. Hope that helps
Your method of finding the circumference is genius, and the puzzle design is beautiful.
Thank you! Yes, this one came out very nicely. Happy to hear that you like it
Great job, beautiful stick. 👌

Excellent job never thought of putting puzzle pieces on a walking staff love this idea.
Yes, it came out really nice. Thanks for your support!
Puzzle pieces are a symbol for Autism. We have a 14 year old autistic granddaughter, so this is perfect!!

Jason, sorry may be missed that part what is the total length of this stick. Great work!
No worries, the total length is 48”. Thanks for watching

Usually I work with natural sticks, but this one was created using a dowel. That's why it has a consistent diameter

@@cathywinget8229 nice, that's close by... We have the same types of trees. Happy to help if I can. Let me know how your sticks turn out!
Did you use wood glue or something to put the rubber foot on?
No glue, I shape the ends for a tight fit. That way you can replace the rubber foot when it's worn out

Thank you
Your very welcome! Glad you liked it!
About how long was the paracord you used?

I think a Turks head paracord wrap would look great.
Absolutely it would! Thanks for watching
