Twitch Is Targeting Vtubers And It's Disgusting

- The claims that Twitch enforces its rules more strictly on vtubers is very real. This week fallenshadow was banned and VShojo's Zentreya was punished for ridiculous reasons.

Please leave immediately and ignore your coworker stripping and rubbing supplies all over herself. Actually, you know what, call her in I think she needs a raise."

on your birthday no less, when you could make more money and if youre lonely could chat with people LMAO what a joke
So a woman can have sex on stream, and get a slap on the wrist with a three day ban. But make an unliving joke, that many other streamers will make, and that's a 30 day ban.
Twitch: "we are here to make sure you're ok. So we'll be banning you for a whole month. "

Bro how on earth would banning somebody after they make a joke about suicide be anything other than pushing them closer to suicide if that was actually a real possibility in the first place
What angers me about this is if she does twitch will try and play the victim like they had no idea this would happen and send thoughts and prayers to her family. Then proceed count the money they make from all the cam girls on their platform.
especially since it's their livelihood
the fact they make this fake message of "concern" is pretty sickening
Because dark humor is illegal apparently and "normalizes" bad stuff 😒 yeah, right.
She didn't even make a joke about suicide.
Her statement was essentially that if she didn't have streaming she probably wouldn't be alive today. Which is a notion that TONS of streamers have expressed on stream. She wasn't making a joke or saying her mind was in a bad place. She was expressing thanks to her viewers.

Naked women sells to children and all other demographics. Vtubers are a specific market.
@@The4HorsePeaples as if Twitch had a wide range of demographics? LMAO
Basically, because of her appearance, Twitch is only allowing her to do "kids" stuff because her aesthetic looks "childish". This is like 4Kids removing guns from Yugioh but then airing it in the same block as TMNT, which has plenty of guns.
this has payment processors written all over it as well.
Twitch really out here going "We heard you're pretty stressed, so let's make you even more stressed by cutting off that money flow. You can thank us later~"
Reminds me of that the boys scene where the bruh tells the other bruh to jump off
It's like they want her to do it. Yikes.
It gets even worse if you know how Twitch subs work. If someone's auto resub falls on a day you're banned, they automatically stop being a subscriber. Being banned for a month means you lose EVERY subscription. So it's not just "you don't make money for a month" its "you don't make money for a month AND have to convince people to resub."
By your name, I can tell that you're a shondo viewer lmao

You know it's not. Twitch is literally evil.
may be if that kind of mods and admins have their names and deeds 'accidentally' listed in public, others will think twice before doing that kind of BS
@WeibCorbinian Yes, all someone would have to do is knock on their door and nonviolently, but firmly express how upset they are at their moderation. This would stop overnight.
"We're concerned about you so we're cutting off your livelihood for a month"
Not only for a month as subs do not renew if the streamer is banned so this would've affected her for multiple months, prob around 50-70% of her subs wouldn't have been renewed in this period. It's repulsive behaviour by twitch.
It's worse, a month off will cancel all of her subscriber's auto-renewals, so she'll have to start building up subscribers from zero again.
Fallenshadow calling the suspension "bullying" is perfect. I think the internet needs to take that and run with it.
"Bullying a vulnerable individual."
Make the accusations as horrible sounding as possible. A taste of their own medicine. Having the worst labels thrown at them.
if they succeeded she would have had 0 subscribers, if she didn't get so much support it would have been career suicide. and to think there might be smaller vtubers out there we don't know about having this happen to them is concerning
Ah, a full month, so all of the twitch subs are canceled. Because they don't renew when payday fall on a ban day
Loli characters are not minors. Just like fairies characters, hobbits, etc. Jokes are jokes. Context is matter. They should not be a reason for a ban.
Twitch should fire the moderators who made this decision and obviously has a motive against Shondo.
FBI should check your hard drive.
And Shondo is quite literally a real-life loli. She's tiny, naturally has the cutesy voice, and even says her model just reflects herself. Imagine their shock if they found out about other short people with "loli" models like Ironmouse, Henya, Tenma, Bae. People get banned on twitch all the time because employees or other large streamers in that circle dislike them, normally because of some kind of political shit.
Its also not rogue employees its twitch as a whole.
Yup sounds about right.
Amazon needs to hurry up and buy a porn site to move all the cam girls to.
Fun fact: It's against TOS to type that fact. Totally normal thing to explicitly include in the TOS. Almost like it is beyond blatant and they cover it up by banning people who say the loud part out loud.

It's like some thot streamer's simp just happened to work at Twitch and doing everything he can to impress his fav streamer, either by elimination the competition or straight up remove what or who she doesn't like on twitch
Think about it... This is too specific to be a work of a bot mod, more like a weaponize simp lord
btw, Shondo contacted Dan Clancy right after the ban. he supported her and said "I'll wait for the appeal to finish processing before I act". so it's likely that he's involvement had an affect on twitch backing down and unbanning her.
He even said she shouldn't be treated any more different than other streamers, so hopefully he has done something about it.
Dan has been a great CEO so far. But even as CEO he prob doesnt want to step on a bunch of toes and has to let red tape play out.
Twitch seriously needs to fix their moderation and fire whoever is banning these vtubers. Tbh at this point twitch is no longer safe for vtubers
The account name of the moderators that banned you needs to be public information. I bet you we'd see the group of moderators targeting vtubers with the public knowledge of who issued the bans and who reviews the bans.
I swear the twitch mods are AI
Fr like don’t they have real people working in their moderation team?
Its all of twitch as a whole not just moderation or a rogue employee. All employees and the streamer circle on twitch think and endorse this kind of behavior, normally because of retarded DEI/political or some other dumb fact. Probably in this case because camgirls cry about vtubers.
Why would they fire someone following their own orders?

Just remember that not too long ago, Twitch gave a slap on the wrist towards a streamer that threw her cat on stream (Alinity) and Twitch didn't really do much to dicipline her over her actions (it didn't helped that she had an army of simps willing to justify her disgusting behavior at the time which made her feel more invincible on Twitch).
It's no secret that Twitch has an obvious bias for the Twitch thots that can do just about any outrageous thing you can think of and get away with it most of the time while other streamers that still follow the rules the best they can tend to get the harshest punishment possible for much less.

Twitch is ok with barely clothed women but can't handle a cute and funny vtuber like Shondo?
Is it entirely possible Vtubers are getting shafted because they’re keeping their information private and can’t use it against them? If this is the case, it’s no wonder 3D users are banned for less.
Why do they have to do it to someone who clearly has issues, some which she has admitted to having. I’m not attacking Shondo I love watching her streams. It’s odd cause you’d think the degenerates that work at twitch wouldn’t touch vtubers as they let other lewd stuff fly
classic Twitch
-doesn't properly notify of a suspension (at the very least the timing of the tweet and actual email are horrendously mistimed)
-claims to be about mental health whilst actively cutting off her main source of income (surely won't negatively affect mental health)
-bans for longer than someone who literally did-the-do on stream
-stays completely silent for more than a day
-claims the ban was right, yet also overturns it (only did it because of pressure from backlash)

A thought:
I suppose the issue ties back to these two premises:
1. "Anime = Japanese Cartoons." &
2. "Cartoons = Content for Kids."
The first is true. The second is used to justify the child-safety morality policing.
No wonder why my art got banned on reddit just oc with floatie and oversized shirt while one piece swimsuit at top down view happy.
euh... child safety is a problem ?!
this is the just the stereotype for anime tourists. they've never seen anything more than the mainstream anime
It's either this (out of touch boomers) or malicious targetting.
the issue is its easier to simp for real women, vtubers simply have more privacy, and it would appear twitch staff doesnt like female streamers having privacy, because male streamers and vtubers arent having this issue. its giving twitch staff wants to be able to stalk females vibes.
twitch staff just wanna have the ability to ask for feet pics to be unbanned. How else can you literally show tit and vag on stream and get literal days instead of a perma
Given Twitch's history with some of their staff.
you're half right in that these camgirls are easier to simp for, and that the twitch staff unfairly target vtubers in comparison because they're harder to simp for, but I think it comes down to the jealousy of those camgirls. They're weaponizing their simp mods to target vtubers because those vtubers have been able to achieve the same level of success without tarnishing their reputations.

@@sticks7857 Ever notice they NEVER go after the biggest vtubers? Pekora, Gura, Aqua, etc. all dwarf the camwhores by comparison, and they're all corpos. @@Gibby34340 That's an abuse generally unrelated to anonymity suppressing and digital ID. Real life social legal structure doesn't really have much in the way of anonymity, quite the contrary, being structured around knowing unlike the internet.
Now, not understanding that differentiation is exploited for anonymity suppression and ulterior schemes for digital ID for person tracking; however, that abuse is attempting to coerce information by bridging that game with a legal issue that corpos aren't wanting to take liability for so are like "if you want to dispute, give your info so that accuser can file against and relief us of liability."
Or tl;dr, that's an outstanding legal liability issue bridging the gap between irl/internet and not wholly a subversive and repressive misrepresentation.

Someone in the comments said that this was a mod power-tripping and I would bet money on that thats exactly what is happening.
Some prick with a vendetta is targeting her and I bet they will not get fired or even receive a disciplinary, cause they are just messing with a v-tuber and not one of their beloved twitch thots that they can come into their pants to when they get a hug. And yes, there is a video of a mod admitting to that happening. That was so eye-opening as to why they behave like this.
4:03 Wow, this is hilarious, they’re the reason why she’s feeling that way haha. It’s actually hard to believe, they drove her to say these things with nonsense bans and then have the audacity to claim that they’re worried. These people are beyond belief.
Sadly, that kind of behavior isn't something exclusive to Twitch, or a handful of places/companies. I had to deal with people like that during middle school. But I agree, the lack of self-awareness to create problems for someone and then be "worried" about them is astounding.

You have to remember, one of Twitch's moderators is literally an animal-deer hybrid, and another? A tree-girl. Yes, tree-girl. It’s almost like they're pulling their moderators from a fantasy novel. And let's not forget the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) variety, because why not? These are people who can’t seem to make it as live actors, influencers, or even on social media platforms like Twitch. So, naturally, when they see a cartoon character-a vtuber, mind you-find more success in five minutes than they’ve had in their entire lives, they get a little… upset.
They go on the hunt for any tiny, insignificant clip-less than a second of "offensive" material-and pounce, ready to ban and erase these creators. Look at you, Rev. Didn’t you mention how your more, shall we say, voluptuous character model was banned? Apparently, too much skin-even if it’s just pixels on a screen-was too much for them. It’s hilarious because, technically, you’re just a bunch of ones and zeros, controlled by someone sitting behind a screen. But nope! A real person, I mean, sorry, deer-animal-person, couldn’t make even half the money you do, even if their full-time job was pressing the ban button every five seconds.
And that’s the real reason vtubers get banned, but somehow, those real-life cam streamers showing questionable content? Oh, they stay up. Apparently, it "looks" like they’re working harder, when in reality, vtubers put in just as much, if not more, effort. But hey, I guess anonymity makes us scary. Meanwhile, these animal-deer-tree-girl mods just can't handle the fact that a bunch of pixels on a screen are making more cash than they ever will.

@@benjaminsimpson6254 Don't worry that didn't happen... yet. I'm sure Twitch would let Cam Girls get away with murder.
@@nonverbalpie8151 Twitch is owned by Amazon, which already does get away with murder on a regular basis, so you're absolutely right.
Shondo my beloved
😭😭😭
😭‼️
Ehh she’s cute but not quite wife level.
Shondo getting un-banned is NOT the good ending. It's the false ending, where the game isn't over yet but you haven't really won.
The GOOD ending is when Shondo (or another unfairly-targeted v-tuber) brings a fat lawsuit against Twitch and wins, forcing Twitch and other companies to correct their ways.
That is only going to be a good ending if a Vtuber can handle all that stress during the lawsuit process and of course wins. I am not sure if Shondo is mentally well to ever thinking of doing a lawsuit against Twitch.
So with that. The greater ending would be Twitch going back to the "drawing board" and implement more fair rules, take away unnecessary rules, etc, so Twitch employees or Twitch AI bots don't abuse the bans on a channel.
the double standard is so painful
I honestly have no idea why people still use Twitch. Granted there isn't a streaming service I'd consider good, but Twitch is easily the worst of the "big 3".
Because of money
@@user-sonosada I guess if you're a TH0T it's good money. If not they'll toss you at the easiest inconvenience.
What is the other service that is in the Big 3? I know RUclips, but can't think of an obvious 3rd.
@@zirconiumdiamond1416 I'd say Kick. Issues with them is I think they're a bit too loose with their free speech rules when you have people streaming themselves being a nuisance in public
@@Corrderio Kick is only known for being "that place where criminals stream".
The issue is twitch but the bigger elephant in the room that is causing this is once again, is very likely payment processors. I really think people to this day really do not fathom the overreach of censorship that payment processors actually have over the internet. It's not just art payment processors censor through very blatant and illegal extortion, it's websites as a whole.
Twitter users really consider themselves to be something very "noble" when they are so comfortable in judging things their way, but it is very negative
Poor fallen shadow didnt nothing wrong twitch smh
I wish an actual lawsuit would happen over the years of obvious bias policing on twitch
They hate Vtubers are superior to their promoted Ethots.
The absolute irony is that Twitch gave her a ban so she could "Seek Emotional Support". If she was ACTUALLY depressed and having a mental break, Twitch could have encouraged self harm or something worse by essentially putting her on forced unpaid leave. Its crazy someone saw that clip and actually thought she was serious.
So the logic there is like a Judge saying:
You did the crime and you're gonna be in prison for 30 months, the correct enforcement was issued but because you ask and peoples are mad, we gonna release you right now.
Instead of accepting the fvck up from their side or saying that someone is in fact not doing his job properly. They act like she owe them now since they ''help'' her with ''her'' mistake
i think the issue is that these are false accusations, they relate age by vtuber model. Meanwhile on the otherside cam gils half naked in pools dont face issues. Dont communicate about it and make up reasons.
If you want to be extremly extrem with hidden rules then use the same benchmark for all. A woman not this hight by default minor. But twitch would never do as they would be in court for recism against dwarf people.
Also think about the mail twitch celebrating that they care for her in the mail, meanwhile pull the financal background. Now think if your at the edge like if it would be a real scenario. You see a person on the bridge about to jump, you say: hi we care for you, but you now lost your job. Sure this would prevent the person from the jump now having lost the job + cant pay rent.
Twitch would need to proper care and support the person, maybe even by refering the person to a service that will help. And they would need to proper judge id the person asking others to jump or if the person is on the edge. But it would require twitch to review the stream and not use a shiddy voice algorithm like youtube.
Im with you that if someone breaks tos they should be enforced but maybe twitch needs to rethink the enforcement. As a mental on the edge person would do the jump at the smallest trigger and pushing someone to no income is a huge trigger.
This is pretty simple. These Vtubers are not sending naked ass photos to the Twitch mods like the cam girls do. So, they are being punished for that.
Reject humanity accept ANIME
Unfortunately anime is under attack by the dreaded twitter “tourist”. Truly a disgusting and alien species
Ya know what? Fallenshadow calling the suspension "bullying" is perfect. I think the internet needs to take that and run with it.
"Bullying a vulnerable individual."
Make the accusations as horrible sounding as possible. A taste of their own medicine. Having the worst labels thrown at them.
just saying this SHE has literally every right to sue twitch for damages & demand a total restructuring of CEO, executives and Administrators as they CLEARLY are incompetent at their jobs.
Imagine several major VTubers see this and decide to revolt. Plus if major VTubers like Bao and Zentreya spoke out about this, then Twitch is asking for trouble, and it won’t be pretty. Twitch is gonna face backlash from other VTubers and other companies over this.
dont think I've seen a 30 day ban from twitch ever, legitimately a hypocritical email from Twitch "oh your sad, here's a 30 day ban from the platform"
We really need a video/streaming site that has a "as long as it's legal" view of content and a strictly no politics/religion approach to operations and enforcement.
Sounds like a chaotic hellsite and would be definitely difficult to do but that's the price you pay for freedom.
For comparison, the woman who completely exposed herself live got a 3 days ban. 😂 Stay classy, Twitch.
Twitch: " We saw your content and we are worried about you"...then proceeds to give her a 30 day ban.
These people have no self awareness at all. Because you know, a 30 day ban couldn't push someone who is already struggling to do something terrible.
This is same as you hit your toe, twitch cuts you leg off and then tell you to walk it off.
theres another vtuber out there by the name of Nerosune who was doing partner push streams for twitch when all of a sudden she was hit with a warning from twitch for sexual themes as well i wonder if people are going around reporting vtubers
This is LITERALLY what happened with Etika word for word, all his socials teamed up on him because he got really depressed and started crying on stream..
1:00 That deserved a nice hefty lawsuit thrown at Twitch.
A 30 day suspension is brutal and not just a slap on the wrist. A lot of people don't know this but for twitch subs if the day rolls over on the day that the sub would resub and the account is suspended they lose that sub. Not just for that 1 months but until the person resubs again. So a 30 day suspension = literally all subs lost and needing to be redone.
How much do you wanna bet those Twitch employees targeting Vtubers also colluded with that Stream Hatchet company in making that pole as a pseudo hit-list of Vtubers to target because they're mad their favorite Fleshy is being outclassed by actual decent human beings who just chose to use 2D models
heres the other thing. This is bassically selective enforcement. Many vtubers say sus or dark things or have character models that are lets just say "interesting" but none of them get banned, meaning someone at twitch is actively sitting there, monitoring this vtuber.
Theories;
1) Its a staff member who hates vtubers
2) its a staff member who loves vtubers but hates that they get ignored by them, specifically her
3) Its a staff member who made an advance on her at some point and got rejected or knows someone who got rejected.
4) Non-vtubers that are high profile, have "friends" in the staff who are trying to ban out competition in their favour. This almost never happens to male vtubers comparatively.
5) certain groups that are tied to the campaign against NFSW sites, see vtubers as a conduit for that kind of "art" and content, this are encouraging twitch to target vtubers to push them out as such. Make it seem less appealing and so forth to do.
I am sure there are other possibilities but those right now are the only ones I can consider. Given that twitch has repeatedly in the past, sided with specific streamers, shows a clear and present bias at the company and within the staff. At some point, twitch needs to get sued into oblivion because even a jury would look at the track record for twitch and this situation and think "hmm yeah, exactly what is going on here?!"
Gonna comment on point number 4 and say that recently a male vtuber had his account suspended for the "sexual content" reason. He got his account back shortly after, but still.
my friend Remitsune got banned april 13th 2023 and didn't get a email or anything, not even a "this is what you did wrong" and shes been indefinitely banned since for seemingly no reason at all
A girl got clapped live on twitch and only got 7 day ban
3:59 "We're concerned about you, so we've decided to do something that could possibly make you even MORE depressed and lead to more harmful thoughts."
Then they have the balls to put "Know you are a valued as a part of the Twitch community." in there, what a joke.
"You're valued as part of the community, which is why we're gonna systematically exclude you from the community like we're some goddamn cult."
"we are so concerned about your mental wellbeing that you better fuck off and think about it for 30 days" ~twitch 2024
"VTubers are animation which is for children, but animation is also hentai, which is porn; omg, they're trying to expose children to porn! BAN!!! We can't allow porn on our platform, no sirree! Oh, someone is streaming themselves nude? They're labeled as "artistic" or "educational," so it's fine." - Twitch and RUclips
At this point, I can’t tell if I hate twitch or RUclips more… they both suck. And neither are a safe environment for VTubers evidently, seeing how they’re constantly getting banned on both platforms.
This is why Twitch is dying... I hate that company as much as Ubisoft.
Pippa has a good theory about this whole situation, it's subtember, the most profitable month for streamers, so theres one guy banning all of these vtubers to try to hurt them.
Yikes Twitch might be Vtube-phobic..
Who remembers when Twitch changed the rules allowing "Artistic Nudity" after receiving backlash because some Onlyfans girl past her prime (which isn't even because of aging btw) kept streaming while topless?
Seeing this compared to Taiga's situation is just depressing. Shondo's community complained enough that they reverted her ban out of pressure, and yet Taiga is still banned. His community isn't as long as Shondo's, so that method won't work.
Strimmer: pool webcam
Twitch: nothing wrong
Vtuber: anime avatar
Twitch: UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!
