Per month. So yeah, he can afford to keep his subscribers entertained at spending $5000 a month at Wizard, which is probably on the high side. Also, the wizard could remove the transmissions that need the repairs and take them to the respective shops and get them fixed. But he clearly ran out of room when he resorted to that stupid scissor lift under the Porsche. $5k a month in revenue and he won’t install a couple more lifts???
Worst streaming plan ever. Pay $5000 a month, and get a stream of engine fluids.

cnsln_memphis well, I would put my nicer cars on the bottom. Ease of access. It’s a lot easier to use them more often when they are ground level. I would put the hoopties on the upper level.

@@wajfaj yup. it happens with old 80s benz-es includeing big trucks and semi tractor units. in diesels the engine would turn of because of the vacume switch operates the governor but the raido would trun on at random even with the key out. or the lights and relays would go crasy for no reason.

This same thing happens on my manual Nissan Sentra. It’s due to an aftermarket remote start system that was installed by the previous owner of my car.
To enable remote start on a manual, you want to make sure it is in neutral so you don’t destroy the starter trying to remote start it in first gear. By forcing you to remove the key, then get out, it guarantees that the transmission is in neutral and the parking brake is on (otherwise it would roll away/the engine would die).
I can also prevent my car from doing this by holding the normal brake when turning it off, but I will not be able to remote start it until I "arm" the remote start system by shutting off the engine with the door.
Not saying that's what's up with Hoovie's merc, but that's just where I've seen a car do this before.

Mercedes must have had an aftermarket alarm or remote start installed at one point in its life and then removed poorly. Door trigger is probably backfeeding a relay.

You can also use a thermal camera pointed at fuse/relay boxes to see if one is energized and drawing enough power (heat) to kill the battery.
Or a stuck relay.
As a hardcore OEM guy my eyes bleed when I see that stereo on the 500SL.

@@Ziotic first off, revving a cold engine is never good for your engine because the oil isn't up to temperature and thus there's more friction on the cylinders.
Furthermore, it's not just the revving, it's his whole attitude towards his cars and cold revving is just the most apparent thing he does. I keep watching because I tend to enjoy his videos.

the electrical issue on the 500SL is caused by a faulty ignition switch, it's sending electrical currents to the wrong components b/c the electrical contacts within the ignition switch are out of sequence. It's also why you're able to remove the key while the car is running. But it's still hilarious.. lol

This is my hypothesis also, either that or some weird grounding issue that's going to be a lot of fun to find... I hope it's the former!
@@GeFeldz I agree, chasing down a loose ground is a daunting task. But since the car isn't having intermediate start issues, i'm leaning towards the ignition switch.
Maybe the ignition switch, or maybe someone put in an aftermarket remote start and has the wiring all messed up. Some years ago I had a toyota corolla in that mess with almost identical symptoms. Closing the door without the key in the ignition was supposed to kill the engine, also pressing brake without key in ignition...
@@Sylvan_dB Yep. Some cars with an aftermarket remote starter had similar 'functions' as the Mercedes. Key out, engine on, door close, engine off, is classic aftermarket remote starter.
Second that unless there is an aftermarket alarm. That would be my second guess.

I don’t know about that. Most experienced mechanics are going to demand a higher salary than the $5,000 a month Tyler is estimating he spends on car repairs. $60,000 a year is a pretty low salary for a highly skilled mechanic.
Kent and that’s just the labour, with the price of parts for his more exotic cars it could get way higher.
FYI - For your E63, there’s additional MB coverage for the fuel system components. It covers up to 15 years from in service date.
I laughed out loud when closing the door shut off the 500SL’s engine. Hoovie showing me his throttle between his legs quickly removed any and all smiles.

On the merc the problem is the vacuum system not a big deal. Easy fix
The M156 has a really common problem with a leak in the intake, sets those faults.

My 91 caprice used to do the weird key removal still runs thing. I have no idea what was wrong but I just used it to my advantage. Left something in the house? No problem! Just pull the key out and run in without turning it off.
$5,000/month over the last two years that Hoovie has seriously been collecting/fixing/filming these vehicles comes out to $120,000. But with three quarters of a million subscribers, a TV deal, and partial ownership (or was he just a communications guy for Freddy's?) in some fast food franchises, he's got to be pulling in some serious cash. Don't let Hoovie fool you, he's actually not an idiot.

The AMG problem is clearly the fuel rail!
Purge the system! And restart engine and clear codes
If the wizard gets a stethoscope on the pumps and listens for a tell tale priming noise!
If one stays on longer to get up to pressure then it's a air leak in the system (fuel rail with missing cap is a huge clue) it's just a one way valve like a tyre valve that is letting air in to the fuel rail!
Because the engine bay is hot the fuel evaporates as soon as it drips (just not enough to cause a fire) due to injectors squirting when the car is running air is being sucked in.
Last time I was this early, John DeLorean was still alive.
