*** Do you remember any of these shows being used in school? What was your favourite cartoon in Primary School? *** Let us know in the comments! Katie & Ryan :)
If you’re interested, I have been doing some videos about kids TV shows I used to watch. In my 3rd video I talk about education shows as a back to school special. If you take a look you may find some other useful school programs that are still useful to this day. 😉
I remember look and read from first school. Through the dragon’s eye was a definite favourite. There was Earth Warp with an alien and one about peregrine falcon’s...something’s like Sky Hunter
I still show my class look and read! Dragons eye is the fave also Badger Girl, Dark Towers, Geordie Racer. Love the nostalgia. My class are also highly versed in thunder cats , Dungeons and Dragons and Gummi Bears. 😂
I think we need to stick to the classics!! 😂 I remember asking my class to ask their parents what their favourite childhood shows were last year. It was such a fun discussion. I also showed them the original Mary Poppins and they LOVED it. Did you watch this yourself in school? I feel like Through the Dragon’s Eye was a high highlight of primary School for me ☺️
For Teachers Yeah , I’m 37 so a child of the 80s! We used to go into the hall and the teacher would wheel the TV out ... used to be the highlight of the week!
Gary Alford love it! Probably a similar video bracket to Ryan then. Maybe my school reused all the shows in the 90s. I bet the teachers were getting sick of the reruns by then! Have a fab week, thank you for popping by the new video ☺️☺️
I feel like these shows are so memorable for us because we didn’t have as many options as the kids we teach today! It was el nombre is on , like it or lump it 😂 did you learn your French from tots tv then??
Just discovered your channel today, love it! I am currently in my second year of a Biology degree and know I want to do a PGCE. All my life I thought I wanted to be a primary teacher but now I’m considering secondary biology and am completely confused! How on Earth do I decide between the two? 😬😬
Hi Jane! Welcome and thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. I’ve actually been thinking a little bit about secondary teaching myself recently.. which is crazy because I always imagined myself as strictly primary. The wonderful thing about teaching is that so many of the skills are transferable. Maybe you could try one for a while and consider a change in the future (like me!) for now, follow your heart and speak to as many people as you can who can vouch for the different jobs you want long term. Please let me know what you decide to do in the end! Katie ☺️☺️
I’m currently in my second year of a primary education degree and can’t wait to become a teacher! I’m interested in teaching abroad but worried about the social side and being away from family and friendly, any advice? Thanks for all your videos!
Hi Monica! It’s hard being away from your family but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. where are you considering teaching? There are videos on this channel about teaching abroad, hopefully they will be useful for you :) let me know if you have any further questions after watching! X
Sounds like the teachers were keen to keep using them! I’m happy they were part of your childhood education 😍 I was born early 90s so we aren’t too far apart! Have a great week!
I didn’t realise it at the time either! It was all part of the BBC look & read initiative. I guess it was so exciting you didn’t realise you were learning ;) have a great week!
Ahh what a shame! Must be British classics. Perhaps you could make a French version? I’d be keen to see the shows you enjoyed as a student. I wonder if there would be any crossovers 🤭

For Teachers Always a pleasure. Three weeks until Easter 🐣😆
Why does the magic pencil do a flick at the end of the letter n? I was taught to draw the letters very simply, with no serifs.
"It's cross curricular!" Hahahaha
Loved El Nombre and Tots TV! Sensing a language theme here...
