I agree with you, I've been thinking about painting the bezel to blend in but with so many graphic changes I would need a neutral color that didn't distract as the bezel does. Thanks for sharing
Thanks mate and seems a general consensus here. The more I look at it, the more I prefer just plain without the addition of the film. For me, I really dont notice the bezels when flying as I guess where your focal point is (either directly in front or to each side). Thanks for tuning in.
It's a tough call. Some folks use overhead projectors to get around the problem, but that requires a bit more physical space, and it's not as crisp as monitors.
I did consider overhead very early in my design, however I didnt want to have a large gap between the physical shell and screens on the left and right which I reckon would have happened due to screen curvature radius being much larger than cockpit shell. I think overhead works well for airliners. Personal preference but prefer screens much closer. Thanks for tuning in mate.
Cheers Pete. Appreciate the feedback. I am looking to upgrade the TV's in the near future (spolier alert) and will have a narrower bezel in any event. I reckon better without the more I look at it......BTW still struggling with my comms but hopefully will be sorted soon.
Hi there. I am using the Saitek Yoke with the Leo Bodnar PCB for the pitch axis and I replaced the springs with elastic bands which makes this Yoke much better. How have you mounted your tablet to the yoke as in this video? I've been trying to come up with a solution for attaching a notepad. TIA.
HI and thanks for tuning in. Prior to changing over the Yokes (which I have recently done in a later video), I 3d designed and printed a custom bracket to sit over the Saitek Yoke. For the latest yokes, I simply am using Velcro tabs. Nice and easy.............
@@CessSim I'd love a 3D Printer, I've had loads of ideas for making my flight sim hardware better, but probably for the best... I don't care for DIY and I've never even hung a picture on a wall!!! 😜
I'm with you I don't think it helps... To be honest I flew airplanes for years that had support structures and they just seem to disappear. I think the bezels are the same way.
Yep I tend to agree. As mentioned previously on this, I really dont notice it when flying. For all the stuffing around trying to get it right, I reckon leave as is. I am considering upgrading the TV's in due course (side screens are only 1080P) and newwer TV's these days have thinner bezels than what I have. That will be an improvement........Thanks for watching mate.

Some people seem bothered by the bezels.
I haven't given mine a second's thought since I installed them.
Bezels on my screens are about 10mm.

Personally, I think I would stick with the bezels. After a while I didn’t even notice they were there.

@@CessSim Yes Jason, my 43" 4K TVs have a small bezel of 10mm.
Personally, I don't even think about the bezels, They become invisible to me anyway.
Yeah nah it’s not working. At least you gave it a go
Yep I agree. Some things just not meant to be.....
I prefer bezels
