- I agree with @glennbeck that the real war in America today isn’t between left and right; it’s a class war. The question is whether the rising populist revolution is going to be hijacked by dark, regressive forces - as it was in the 1930s - or whether it will be harnessed by more idealistic impulses.

Who doesn’t love democracy… but my concerns are much more personal. I can’t afford to fix my AC unit, because I can’t save $$… because EVERYTHING has gone up in price. Americans are struggling more and more every day… and there’s absolute crickets from the democrats and republicans.

Assuming the first is not a true option (arguable tho, because politicians and corporations can often win public opinion by peddling platitudes and illusions that keep people happily distracted from reality), then of course option 2 is going to be messy, difficult, contentious, full of steps forward and backward, etc, etc. The beautiful thing to me about this clip from the Kennedy campaign is it tries to call people toward those values of courage, hope, wisdom, etc--to call us each individually and all together to our highest possibilities so that option 2 can even have a chance.

I grew up in a democratic supporting household. My father "hated" republicans. I grew up blindly following that political ideologically. My brothers though conviced me to be republican. They made good arguments. One day i just realized it's all bs aimed at dividing a resources into pools for political parties. People. Im tired of both, i dont want a republican or democratic america. I want a nation of individual thinkers, i want consensus and democracy. Im voting for Kennedy because he wants the same thing.
RFK should schedule a debate with Trump. I’d like to see how that goes.
Three Presidential debates are scheduled, starting in September.
That is assuming the cowardly Trump does not chicken out on yet another debate, again, and that Biden does not do what he did during the primary and unilaterally declare himself the winner.

My guess is that most Americans are in agreement over 85% of the issues. Sad that we cannot agree to a solution.
