Liebherr - R 9800 Mining Excavator Ship to Site (Timelapse)

- This R 9800 mining excavator has been delivered from the production site in Colmar, France to Australia by sea, over land and right into the Moolarben coal mine.
It got assembled at Moolarben Coal and experienced an Open Day just before it went into operations.

How many hours does a machine like this have before it is pulled from service? I would think that pretty much ever component is rebuildable so are they replaced only when something significantly better comes along. I would be interested in knowing just how much it costs to reassemble something like this.
mate once built they fix as she goes and at certin hrs has services they switch out the motor complete put another one in send old one for rebuild never down for to long

Cummins qsk 60 engine fail. MTU 883 ka501 engine ideal.
No MTU 883 ka501 have little life resource, only for military this is not important, in mining engine must be super reliable and work many years, sometimes more than 10 years. Only big heavy engines can do this. MTU 20v4000 c23 good choice, but qsk 60 also not bad engine, you not right about fail. But i hope Liebherr company will be use own engines in future, two D9816 for example will be good choice for this excavator
