I love it when I see other people use UV resin with regular resin it warms my heart because a lot of people think you can't use them together you can you just have to make sure the epoxy resin is already cured so that when you go to cure the UV resin it will cure properly I combine the two all the time with little projects
The hearts turned out just beautiful. This effect is quite original and beautiful. Also like the off placements of the eye screws. Makes it so interesting and unusual.
Wow Steve. These are really awesome. I wasn't sure what you was doing at first but when you removed the red mold I was amazed and the end result was beautiful. You are full of amazing ideas.
Very cute idea. I'm not one for hearts and so many hearts in molds. But my little granddaughters love, love hearts. As always thank you for sharing your talents love.
How very pretty!! Love the idea of the smaller shapes in the original one... I've been using the bits of over pour to do something similar. Your creativity NEVER ceases to amaze!!! Stay safe and stay crafty!!! Ringy-dingy👍👍🔔🔔🦋🦋
It works really well to make a mold smaller or keep your colors seperated when you're pouring too! For example i put a bracelet mold inside my round coasters so i can be assured the edge won't flow into to middle of the coaster.
I loved the rotary tool and ALL the parts that came with. I thought about it for a few days, found your channel a few days ago 😉, and pulled the trigger today. I’ve been trying to purchase one for 2 years. Bought and returned a Dremel because it didn’t actually come with what I needed and was getting upwards of 125$ to buy the additional parts. This one you use has it all for 1/3 of the price to make Dremel what I needed. Sir, you rock! Fan for life!! I’ve been wanting to do some resin stuff, I’m a total newbie and doctor just gave me permission to play with resin, it’s a lung thing. Ty ty ty for sharing.
These are super cute! I think if you filled the mica powder ones with black or dark colored resin they would show up better. So many possibilities for this technique!!
From one steve to another you never fail to make me think one thing and you make something Even better them i was thinking! You are an inspiration to us smaller resin artists
Wow, so clever and so pretty! I love your work Steve, I just think your amazingly talented and thank you so, so much for sharing it all as well. ❌❌❤️❤️🇮🇪☘️
Steve, you've done it again. I too didn't know what you first meant, but once I saw it, I think that it turned out really nice. Then you got my thoughts running, and I thought that it would probably be really cool if you used some nail foils on those second hearts. Thanks for the ideas.
Steve! It's Suzi, I've missed you so much! I'm gonna have to binge all the videos I've missed, I've been absent due to health issues unfortunately 🙃, but am hoping things are going to continue looking up!! These are a cool idea, I've got all kinds of molds I could apply this to, how cool!! I've really missed you, 😢 but am glad to be back!!
Great technic I have that red mold but I don't have the otherone 😔. thank you Steve your imagination is brilliant I always enjoy watching you create. Your ideas are excellent 👌. I love that you explain everything what products you use and you are such a down to earth person funny and charismatic. Thanks for another great video 🌷hugs from Quebec Canada 💜 🇨🇦 🤗
Wow your work is amazing and so easy to follow. But can you answer me 2 small questions, which may sound silly. 1 I'm using resincolour costumcast but can't find my instructions, it's a 2 parter can you advise me please. 2... Will a heat box help with curing, as my alphabet letters are coming out bendy rubbery ....
Hi Steve, I love how well you share your techniques. I don't feel stupid.. lol. Were you ever a teacher? If not, you would have made an excellent one! When I bought the large heart mold, I agonized on whether or not to buy the smaller one and I decided to wait - of course I should have bought it!!! I think I might try mixing up different molds to try it out. Thanks for the new ideas.
Little tip for you with your key ring I see you make your own hoops which can be not as strong as the double hooped ones you can buy, I stick a tiny dab of U.V resin on the join and cure it up and it keeps it nice and stiff and gives the key ring some longevity x
I make sun catchers/wind chimes with the hearts, clapperless bells, then some handmade beads and gemstone beads on the bottom. Need to make some new ones, but the fun part is finding more of the clapperless bells, they disappeared in the last 2 years and I use them for lots of things besides these. Am going to try this as it's something I am sure I can get some interesting pieces of.
A mica hint from a soap painter…also works with resin. Mix mica with the tiniest bit of 99% alcohol, and paint it on. It goes on very opaque, and dries in seconds.
Not sure if you have Hobby Lobby stores where you are, but maybe check out their chocolate molds. They have a fun sheet with 24 heart molds, each of the 4 vertical rows of 6 the same, but different from the other 3. Each cavity is only about 3mm deep.

Fabulous idea. This technique could be used in so many different resin objects. My mind is buzzing after seeing this 🤓.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts it’s brilliant. Thank you for sharing. That was definitely what bob ross would call a happy little accident.

@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Amazing...something went wrong and turned out to be something better...just like in science sometimes. 🙂

Very nice, you are so clever! I have heard that UV resin on top of regular will peel off if you don't sand and put rubbing alcohol on first???
Gorgeous ❤❤❤
Very cute. Thx

Very nice. I have that same dremel and I love it but find it is too strong to polish epoxy. Do you have a video for polishing epoxy resin?
Love it! Great idea.

Steve have you tried making different size hearts of different colors from small to big and set them in side eack other?

You're welcome 😊 and thank you
Interesting 🤔 Very nice 😊
Hi which resin do u find is best for the doming technique please as I'm wanting to do pendants and keyrings
Steve can one use colour pigments in pouring resin, or should one use casting resin. Thank you for your tutorials.
