    The moment we ask, “Why am I here,” proves we are not just animals. When we understand the universe is just rocks and that life is far too complex to be random chance, we see the divine. The moment we open our eyes and admit we are limited and flawed in living with others we realize the reason we are here.
    Those who insist on focusing strictly on material things disregard the spiritual. They do not recognize that we are limited creatures living temporary lives whose five senses cannot discern everything in the universe. They believe, in their ignorance, that science has all the answers when science is still in its adolescence.

    • @L0rdShad0wz
      @L0rdShad0wz Год назад +190

      I kind of agree with this but you just said that life is far too complex to be random. That makes no sense because the complexity of life and the size of the Universe, the possibility of life and the evolution of life is infinite, so there is an infinite possibility that we exist, but that is still random, 1 small change in evolution and we wouldn't have existed at all.

    • @dustyk103
      @dustyk103 Год назад +93

      @@L0rdShad0wz So, this belief once again makes us so rare in the universe by virtue of being the most infinitesimal possibility. It’s saying that we are the only intelligent beings and the only life making us the center of the universe. Essentially that, if there no God who is the intelligent designer, then “we are the gods.” It also infers that when we die we just cease to exist because we are nothing more than a random clump of cells and electro-chemical impulses. Therefore, there is no morality by which we should live except for whatever we feel like doing.

    • @L0rdShad0wz
      @L0rdShad0wz Год назад +121

      @@dustyk103 Just because we are born, we live for a short period of time and then we cease to exist doesn't mean that there no longer is a morality for which we need to live our lives. We decide ourselves how we live our life, regardless of whether you believe we were here because we were specifically created to be here or because we simply evolved into an intelligent species from single cell organisms.

      You are supposed to turn your life over to god. I’ve been debating religion for almost 20 years now. You can believe in a high power all you want, but to believe in the christian bible god is for the illogical. You were hurting and needed communion and you found it in a religious community. But you can do better bro. Don’t be a slave.

      As an adult man I wanted to research religions, God, Big Bang and anything that would deepen my understanding.
      I came back to the KJV because the evidence is, Jesus lived, was 100% historically real and His words were accurate. So many instances while studying I had these “wow” moments, I couldn’t deny the evidence of God all around me anymore.
      We all have a choice and free will to answer those questions over our lifetime. The urgency with Christianity is that our souls are eternal. Thanks for commenting I really do enjoy hearing others beliefs

    We live in a paradox ourselves. One day when we were young we just opened up our eyes and became conscious with no back story. I remember this day sitting outside in our back yard. Looking up at the glory of the blue sky and all creations. I had so much fear. So much anxiety struck me. I ran to my mother and asked her. Mom. Why are we here. I don’t think she understood me. Because she gave me a very earthly answer. I replied no! But how are we here. It doesn’t make any sense. She gave me the very simple answer. Because god made us and he wants us here. I hadn’t felt much pain yet at 4 years old, but it was a good enough answer for me.
    I think we are all in different levels of consciousness. I can guarantee when I talk to people, I can tell really quick who is alive, and who is “alive” the more alive we are, the more spirit of god we have in us. It’s so scary how it really is, and I’ve struggled with this my whole life. Having out of body experiences and precognitive premonitions. I see things others don’t. I feel blessed because I actually see god and I know he is real . But I can’t prove it outside of my mind. All I can tell someone is to search their consciousness and you will find we are eternal beings. You will come to the same conclusions as me. It sounds cliche and I hate to be so broad. But verbal language is so limited to the concepts that I compute with my earthly brain. Humility and faith are the only things I can recommend. We are all connected by god. The masculine energy that created this dimension of material 3D universe. Possibly out of this realm is somewhere where time doesn’t exist. There is no beginning and there is no end. I’m sure it will make sense when we go to our true home. But the reality is we are living in a matrix. 85%of our daily routine we are unconscious and completely acting on programming and instinct. Some of us operate on 99 percent programming. Consciousness is feeling the light of god and the power of free will. Some of us exercise this liberty more than others. It’s scary to see things others don’t see. It truely makes me afraid that I’m the only thing real in this world.
    My best guest is that we all come from the same spirit. That we are made in gods image. And if I was a supreme conscious being I would be lonely. So I would put myself into multiple avatars and send them off to another realm, it would be the only way to make them truly individuals. Here on earth in this plane we develop our personalities and become separate of god, only to return as someone new. Otherwise if we stayed under god, we would only be a duplicate of him. He loves us so much he does all of this for us. This earth does have a purpose, and it’s to make us individuals. Because we are all technically the same spirit. Some of us feminine and some masculine. Equal and opposite. Our experience here on earth is what separates us from god. And we don’t like to be alone, since we are created from him we can learn a lot about god from learning about ourselves. We all determine our reality in our consciousness. We are beings beyond our bodies in the material world. I don’t know everything about god. But I can guarantee he is a loving god. And since everything must exist, so must evil. And we must cast away evil from ourselves, the same way god has done for himself. That is why we are so innately born to know the difference of good and evil. I was born Jewish, but I’m not particularly religious. But I don’t believe in god. I know god, because god is the spirit inside of me that is everything good. I hope this makes sense to anyone struggling with a damaged soul. God has already healed the impossible with me. He will do it for you too if you are sincere

      It is an indisputable scientific fact that believers in one or many gods live lives that are not only happier, but longer and more productive (with the exception of a few particularly toxic faiths). Believers commit less crimes and believers function better in society. All other things being equal, everyone should want their neighbor to be religious, their employees and boss to be religious, and if religion were a pill which provided those benefits, everyone would take it. They should want themselves to be religious.
      It is fair to ask, then, why the universe is structured this way. If religion is a lie, why would everyone who believes in lie be better at LIVING. This is actually the opposite of what we would normally expect. The scientific method and growth of scientific knowledge has taught us that believing in and adhering to real things is pretty much always a better way to function in the world. It doesn't make sense.

      Oh really? Here let’s go over the Evidence for God. We know the universe is governed by precise mathematical laws of Physics. Rule of newton puts it-there cannot be laws without a lawmaker. All laws require intelligence to formulate and intelligence to understand which include humans. Compiled Laws put in place such as laws of thermodynamics demonstrate time initiated the universe yet there was a timeless cause. The universe a pendulum of time is clockwork, more complex than a Rolex watch. This alone calls for intelligent design any time of the week. We know God who has thoughts feelings ideas emotions made things in fours. Examples for the earth: there is four seasons fours elements four winds four sides to earths compass. That’s four fours. The grids used for maps is made up of foursquares of equal sides. In nature we have animals that walk on fours with typically four toes. Some have external fours such as tarantulas or octopus on sides. Humans have four fingers each hand excluding thumbs. Humans also grow four wisdom teeth. DNA which makes up all life is made up of four principle molecules. Gods name in Hebrew you guessed it four letters YHWH. The eden he made In the beginning had four rivers that crossed it, two of which still exist today. It seems clearly then that God left his fingerprints and name all over creation. It also seems apparent that God is highly intelligent for he did the math before we even discovered it. Prior to this I hadn’t regularly attended church since I was around 13. One aspect that immediately became clear was just how emotional many people around me we’re getting. I could tell that at least a handful of people were momentarily alleviating some very painful burdens.
    I quickly recognized a gigantic blind spot in my view of religion: Just how significant of a coping mechanism it is for many people who are being relentlessly tortured by life, not just the metaphysical assurances but also the strengthened sense of community/security. Hopefully there will continue to be more secular substitutes in place of religion. All of the good facets of religion without all of the dogma. In the meantime I’ll just have to settle with going to a Christian church with family

    The personal experience

    St John of the cross, etc etc
    Meister Eckhart... It is an inner experience that is cultivated through the stilling of the mind, the pure of heart shall see God,
    Love God with all your heart all your soul and all your mind. The point is there is plenty of evidence to direct an individual to first-hand experience of the presence of God within their own soul. 🧘

But god allows his children to be tortured for ETERNETY in hell. I mean, that's not cool. And some things in bible are preaty wild. I'm from a cristian family so I read the whole thing. Just an exemple:
      Deuteronomy 21 verses 10 onwards
      10 When you go to war against your enemies and the LORD your God delivers them into your hands and you take captives,
      11 if you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife.
      12 Bring her into your home and have her shave her head, trim her nails
      13 and put aside the clothes she was wearing when captured. After she has lived in your house and mourned her father and mother for a full month, then you may go to her and be her husband and she shall be your wife.
      Like, our god seems like a monster by not only allowed, but encouraging and guiding this kind of thing

      @@ceccascorp8149I'm glad you're open to a proper conversation! But the thing is, I believe the Original commenter isn't saying what he/she is saying just to get into heaven. I'm sure he/she is saying it from the bottom of their heart as they truly mean it. Additionally, all these verses you pulled up from the Old Testament, you have to take all of them I context as to what was going on at the time. The isrealites are obviously in conflict in these verses. They are trying to gain victory over their original captors and God is on their side as the attackers were heathens. Anyway, those verses dont apply anymore because it is parts of the Old Testament that weren't enforced I the New Testament, making them kind of outdated in a way. Also God is not evil, God is righteously just and the embodiment of pure Love.😊

    • @derek1734
      @derek1734 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@ceccascorp8149Another thing, God doesn't just "allow" his children be tortured in hell forever. You see, hell is esentially just separation from God and is a place where those who rejected God go. God obviously doesn't want anyone to go to hell at all, but it is through people's own will that they end up there. Through the rejecting of His word and even the rejecting of Him as concept. Heaven is essentially being in the presence of God and God is so loving, he will never force you to be with him against your will. If you really wanted to go to heaven, you would seek him out.

  • @pisky5067

    Basically every argument on God's existence works like this:
    1) say something, can be anything, free will, Earth, universe, time, consciousness, literally can be anything
    2) and say that the reason that it exists is because of God and otherwise it wouldn't exist.
    I think many people who say God mean just the entire universe and those two often overlap in that sense, if you think about it.

    Peterson was trained with the same assumptions of naturalism and materialism shared by other evolutionary thinkers. This has tended to make him reach for naturalistic explanations of everything by default. He has shown respect for theists, but like Carl Jung before him, he generally frames their belief in psychological terms, where “God” is a product of our own collective unconscious rather than a distinct, personal, creative entity. It’s not that he closes the door on traditional theism. He just hasn’t yet felt comfortable opening it beyond a crack, at least not publicly
