Im 49. I retired from the Army as an Officer. I like to listen to oldies, my parents music. Although I managed to survive fighting in 2 wars my brother died of cancer at 45 last year and my Dad died 8 years ago at 60. I remember driving back and forth from Asheville to Atlanta with my Dad in the middle of the night jamming to all these songs. I miss him so bad it hurts. I've lived a very hard life. These days Ive bern obssessing with my stereo, equipment, speakers...just a good hobby. The music makes me feel so damn good but it opens alot of pain. God let me heal...
The listening to the music is the treatment…lost my only Son and my Father recently… omg…. Music and the love of my Wive helped me survive….and I am so grateful for the both.slowly dying inside. But am grateful to have lived!
So sorry to hear you’re having sad times. When I hear these oldies to me it’s like it was yesterday, sometimes it makes me feel sad but mostly it makes me very happy because it shows me how young and happy I was. I just shared this video with my 47 year old son; he likes to listen to the music his dad and I like. Sometimes he listens to remakes and I have to tell him I heard that song before you were born, hahaha! I’m 77 and keep feeling young and happy by going to the gym 5 days a week!
God Bless you! I pray you have received Jesus the Son of God, God the Son, who came in the flesh , not to condemn the world, but that through Him we might be saved. He shed His blood on the cross to forgive all the sins of the world, He died was buried and rose on the third day. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
well I'm 68 years old and I can remember when me and my sister danced in the middle of the living room and my mom would join us had a great time just great memories now. It doesn't matter how old you are just listening to this music is great.
69 years old here and all of these songs bring back so many memories. I have to be careful listening to them, that I don’t let them send me into a depression, wishing for what used to be. I’ve had such a rich life since those days, but those memories a bittersweet.
This ole Indian is 77 winters old, soon to be 78 in Jan. 2024. These oldies bring back my thoughts of yesterday & I feel like I was 21...Thanks... Sonny McMillan...
This ancient Indian was 77 years old in winter, about to turn 78 years old in June 2024. These old people bring back my thoughts of yesterday and I feel like I am 21 years old...Feeling thank you..
I too am 68 years young and I remember these songs well. We hung out with the girlfriend with this music . Oh boy the memories! This music is all about feelings and love. Not hate and anger. Look over the hate and the differences going on today. We are all brothers and sisters in this world and we have to start looking out for one another instead of finding reasons to hate someone. Let’s start looking out for one another and love each other. There is too much hate in this world and only we as individuals can change that. I do, do you try?
Love these 60'70' bribgs back freedom days no cell phones free growibg and fun danced for a life time im65 and yes these songs era and music bring teaes to my eyes how time change but this music is timless and a string to sanity for us older people thankyou for putting it together and putting us in endless time zones golden oldies like many of us whom listen to and have shared with our young ones with our stories of the time we were a lucky lot Amen❤❤❤
I'm 88yrs old.I never tire of listening to this music. The artists sang these songs so clearly and the rhythm of the music still makes me want to get up a and dance. Thank you for bringing back happy memories ❤
I grew tired of my new age music as a 25 year old. Thus music actually brings my mood up and I feel alive again. Not like no mindless zombie. I feel blessed to be alive!
I played this playlist for my dad during the last hours of his life. He died last night. Thank you for letting my dad pass peacefully to the music he loved. I love you, Daddy.
I was a teenager in the 60's. My wife and I grew up together listening to these songs. Then I got drafted for Viet-Nam. Came home on leave, got married and did my time in service. Those were great years, many fine memories. Miss those days of innocence and young love.
i'm 19 and on vacation with my grandparents, when my grandma said she wanted to listen to music, i offered to put some on via youtube on the tv. she asked for 60s and 70s music and she and my grandpa look so happy now while it's playing 🥺💙💙
I just turned 70 and it's this music I was raised on. These classics will live forever because they speak to everyone. I love to sit alone with headphones and listen to this list.
I was born in 1953 and I am 70. This music is so special to me. I love all music but this mix is my favorite. Not only from my era but also my older brother’s and sisters. I can still see my youngest of brothers and his beautiful wife dancing to many of these songs. Also my sister and her husband dancing together. They have all since passed and I miss them terribly but I have many great memories.
How are you feeling these days of 2024 February 7 th ..is the weather okay with you ? Best wishes to you and may God give you healthy long life and good neighbors to have some great time coming summer ☀️
@@denisezimmerman2909 a lot but there’s still many that still do..... music is not age limited. There’s no reason for age to be part of something that anyone can enjoy
These songs hit deep. My dad died at 66 years old. He immigrated to California illegally at tender age of 14 and worked. Even though he was as Mexican as a cactus, he absolutely loved this genre. I grew up listening to these songs. Every time I would accompany my pops to his job, he was a construction worker by the way, we’d listen to KRTH 10.1.1. So from the age of 5-14 I would know all these songs by heart. He passed a few years ago from cancer and it still aches the deepest crevices of my heart. He was my best friend. These songs have great memories, but they hurt so much. I miss my pops so much.
I feel your pain. My dad died December 21st, 2002. I still cry when I think of him. He taught me so much and I miss him so very much. I have a black and white picture of a tree with a bench under it. I can almost picture us sitting and chatting.
I listened to KRTH faithfully for the time I lived in LA. When we moved to Nor Cal I found it online somehow 😀🎶 Always felt so good listening to my favorite music 💖
I’m so sorry for your loss. But your beloved father is still here INSIDE your loving memories. My dad is gone, too, and I miss his physical presence terribly, but he is with me in memory just as your dad is! What a lovely heart you have-he would be so proud of you! ❤
@C Milne I keep telling my friends and my mom to be nice to their kids lol. He helped me a lot when I was younger to think and be independent. He even taught me to drive my first car, a stick shift, while only having one arm. No abuse, but some arguments for sure. While I was younger I worked as a nurse's aid and with people who had head injuries, developmental disabilities, and dementia. I hope your step-kids are willing to take care of you and their mom as well, but just in case, plan ahead lol.
I agree with you. It does not matter how old you are. What I love about classic music and movies is you get to find treasures all on your own. You get to find something special.
I live in Spain now (in my 70's) and run a small market stall at Flea markets. I recently starting playing music from this era and i've been amazed at how many people of different nationalities and ages pass my stall and either 'dance ' a bit or mouth the words to these old songs.
I read the comments and see many young people who love this music. It's why it's called the Golden Oldies and those days they had a very special passion for music. It warms my heart to know there are young people appreciating it as much as we did those years and forever after. To all you young guys listening and loving this music, You have excellent taste.
I’ve been reading the comments too. It’s so nice to hear from everyone’s experiences :) Although I’d always heard these songs in passing, I haven’t actually looked into them until recently. I am very pleasantly surprised 🤗
Hi there av always listened to this music and am 37 yrs young now and I've been brought up to this music in its so lovely and always keep dancing away to it 🕺
I'm Mexican and I used to listen this music on the radio when I was a kid. Of course I didn't understand nothing of the lyrics but the feeling and the rythm were there....now that I can understand better the feeling is still there....so nice music, memories are back. Thanks to all those great artists for giving us good music.
Me too! (II'm half Puerto Rican and we all listened and boogied to all these sounds as well.) Hit the clubs with all the 70s and 80s music. Forever memories..🤗💓
My father just pass away few days ago on 16th, I m playing these tracks now for him to listen, I have been talking to him all night long, I wish he can come touch my hands like the way how I hold his hand in the hospital. My heart is so torn. And I also want to say thank you for making this list for us!
❤ Sorry for the loss of your Dad, it was 40 years on Saturday since I lost mine. Music has a way of taking us back in time, enjoy your walk down memory lane.x
I'm a teenager now who listens to all sorts of music, but these oldies can always comfort me when I'm tired, as if they have some special power of speaking to your heart. They're always so cheerful like sunny afternoons, love this playlist
Raymond, keep listening! All of these songs were written long before scream and bag became a thing. A pleasant Melody with lyrics you can hear and understand.
Love these old songs. I'll be 70 in 2022. Takes me back to all those am radios in those great 60s cars I drove , especially my 64 Plymouth sport Fury with a 440 magnum, 13 second quarter mile, racing around Phoenix, beating almost every car out there. Most baddest driver in all phoenix in the early 70s was a little old lady who drove through WALLS OF HOUSES @
i'm 13 and i love this music so much some say i have an old soul and i love it because this music makes me really happy Editt: I’m 16 now guys! I didn’t know that you guys would be so moved by my old soul, thank you guys and happy new years!
You are 13 iam 15 i just love soul music my favorite is tear from the skyies it just love ,this music make me feel happy and free i feel like danceing on the streets not a care in the world pop can not replace something like this
Well hey, at least you have a very collective taste in music. I have the most random playlist: it can go from an old country song to a 90s grunge song, to an old bop like these. I personally think if you really love and connect to music- you can't just like one genre, you have to sample them all! (Kids today only know music on tik toks, or whoever's trending- so good for you to look for real music! 😎
Dancing to Night Fever in my Kitchen as my dog watches on with a look of concern on his face 🤣 50 years have passed and I remember every move...however I now ache in parts I didn't even know I had but I dont care it was worth it!!! 🤣🤣 Enjoy the music and all the amazing memories we "Oldies" made back when what I believe was a much happier and safer timexx.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The sounds of the greatest generation. (She said smugly.) I graduated in 1970, so this was such a big part of my life. We never went ANYWHERE without a radio. We save babysitting and lawn mowing money to buy 45s and the occasional LP. Thanks for the post.
Just can't stop listening to this songs, just can't stop thinking about the youthful days, you seem to love the music alot right, I can tell from your comment, they will be so glad to know that people are out there who cares and appreciate them so dearly.....by the way nice meeting you on here, I hope you are having a wonderful time out there right ????
Excellent music . I belong to the 50’s and I love all these songs . I travel to my past when the songs were Melodies that we could listen to all day long . God bless all people that read this comment
I can remember back then I was about 10 yrs. old and every year on New Years Eve , they would play ALL the oldies from that year and the previous year. I would stay in my bedroom and listen to the radio all night. Such good memories. I'm 70 now and love them just like yesterday. Don't ever stop playing them.
I'm 71 and grew up in a small town in NM. I remember these songs on the radio from KOMA Oklahoma City, which had a amazingly long range at night. Great memories.
I also grew up in small towns (2) in NM. For years KOMA was the only station we could get at night (100,000 watts!). Seems like we also got Wolfman Jack out of Juarez, Mexico, for a while. XROK (equis ere o ka). There was basically no rock and roll station during the daytime. I graduated from high school there in 1966.
I am a 67 year old lady and I walk 3 miles a day and this is what I listen to everyday I've been listening to all this ever since I was 5 years old and this is my music and I love it and I enjoy it
I remember seeing Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terell at disneyland in 1967 I was only 7 years old at the time with my Mother while my father was in Vietnam at the time. To this day i still cant get enough of that duet of aint no mountain high enough. What an amazing performance that was

@@clefton3112 We had more certainty than they have now. Yes, it wasn't politically correct and "woke" (which was both good and bad - good that we didn't have to keep monitoring what we said in case we upset people but bad that now we spend most of our time doing that!) but there wasn't the pressure on us that there is now. We didn't expect to buy a house (we were lucky if we could leave home and share with several others), there was almost full employment so getting a job was easy, there weren't so many students so there were grants instead of loans, there was reliable public transport even in rural areas, reliable contraception (the pill) was widely available for the first time so we had "free love", we girls didn't have to wear what our mothers wore, there was an expectation that things were getting better and that a new and wonderful time was not far off. Yes, there weren't the opportunities that young people have now. They can do almost anything - women are serving in elite military units, they're professors, doctors and test pilots. Unfortunately, they still don't earn the same as men but they 'ARE doing those jobs. On the downside they're expecting to leave university with thousands of pounds of debt which they have to repay once they earn over a certain amount - if they can find a job which pays that much (most of my generation didn't get the chance to go to university - I was 40 when I went), they expect to buy a house almost immediately they leave university and get a job instead of renting or sharing with others. Social media is a two-edged sword which, depending on how it's used is both good and bad. We had letters and a telephone which was just talk so we couldn't cyber stalk people. There's a lot more I could add. I see that they have far more choice but somehow I think they're more unhappy because they DO. They spend a lot of time agonising over what they should choose from a long list of options which we didn't have. "Take it or leave it" were ours! We also had to be more mentally resiliant. Almost every programme on radio and TV nowadays is accompanied by a warning that it "contains scenes which some people might find upsetting" and giving details of support groups which they might find helpful. We were expected to "put up with it" - not good in many cases but it taught us to stand on our own two feet. There's an anecdote about a writer who found a cocoon which he took home and kept on his desk so he could watch it develop. Came the day when the butterfly started emerging. It struggled and fought to break free of its casing. The writer watched it for an hour or so and then he decided to "help" it by cutting off the end of the cocoon. The butterfly was free but it was in a very sorry state. Instead of being a beautiful butterfly which would fly away into his garden it couldn't spread its wings, it couldn't walk and it died a few hours later. Sometimes we also need that struggle to make us stronger. By all means, help out when really needed but leave young people to deal with things on their own or they'll end up like that butterfly.
@@Sunflowers1591 Thank you, that was actually quite inspiring. I currently study 1951-2007 Britain so all of this is incredibly interesting to me. Thank you for sharing :)
@@clefton3112 Glad I could help 🙂. Are you on Facebook? I was born in 1950 so I lived through the period you're studying. I'll give you a lot more information in FB if you message me there.
The 60 came and went...and we thought they would last forever, and it seemed that they would end...but no; the wonderful songs from that delicious era have indeed lasted. Oh wow, how wonderful!!!!
To bad that our society has changed to what it has become. Grew up in the 50s and 60s life was a lot different back then. You could go to town leave your house unlocked come back and everything was just like you left it, leave keys in the car not a problem! I just want to say god bless to all and stay safe
You just need good parenting and strong morales in life to turn out alright. Everyone saying you need to police the streets I’m sure the 60s wasn’t filled with police.
this is such a close minded comment.....go look at modern murder rates and crime. Much lower today. There are many reasons we have become more individualistic and it has little to do with locked doors
As teenagers in the sixties when we didn't have TV listening to this music was something we all looked forward to on a Sunday afternoon on radio. We danced and sang heartily and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! It was a time when we were so young and free and life was oh so good.! Its good to know these golden oldies are still in circulation. Thanks for sharing.
I’m 13 and I love this kinda music. It reminds me of when my dad (who was born in the 60s) would take me out camping and we would eat hotdogs in the back of the truck and look at the stars while listening to his old CDs
Rih on you have such a cool ass memory of you and your dad. No one can ever takr that from you. He sounds like a cool dad...my dad is 90 in a hospital bed at home . Not much time for him left but I have memories like you please charisma you thought when your a dad try to be like you dad. He would be proud of you even after he is gone. PEACE AND LOVE FROM A DAD OF THREE BOYS. MY BEST FRIENDS FOR LIFE AND THE AFTERLIFE...
When I miss my grandmother i will listen to these music. I never truly respected this type of music untill she passed. Now it's my favourite genre of music.
If your 13 and pick this music as your best choice...my God, you are well on your way to a great life of wonderful things and relationships. It makes me want to cry!! Rock on little peeps!

Just seen advertisements Temptations,Wow last time I was home in Indiana. Seen their Concert at race track. Last living one. We had a drink afterwards. Talking, I seen them after my training in Chicago Naval Center getting ship out. Lol Sun was coming up before I went home that Great day. Great memories way back then. Omg SLOWLY DANCING ON THE FLOOR LADIES DO YOU REMEMBER THIS

I’m a teen who’s 15 and I love this type of music! I’m happy that I had/have a grandpa to teach me about it but it wasn’t just all him. I explored music from these decades and discover really good arts like Fleetwood Mac, Nancy Sinatra, Lesley Gore, Barbara Streisand❤️, and so much more! I really wish my generation was just as educated in music as us. Realize that rap/hip hop and emo music isn’t all there is
I'm only 12, but I know SO MANY of these songs and the musicians. My parents were born in the early 80s, and they grew up listening to this (Even though they were born 10-20 years after these songs were published.). Glad that they introduced me to these songs, too.
Si lees esto, no importa dónde estés ahora en este planeta, te deseo una noche maravillosa y una vida pacífica y feliz donde todos tus sueños se hagan realidad
I'm 58 and when my Mom turned the music on or played vinal, 8 track, 45s. We would dance and do aerobics to the music. My Mother taught aerobics and she created an intense dance version. It was a blast. Awesome, far out, cool
My mom was born in the 50s and I was her last baby at 38 I’m so glad my childhood was filled with Oldies I’m just not prepared to lose listen to these alone.. take me back to DQ listening to these Whitt my mom eating ice cream 😪 nostalgic

69 years old here and all of these songs bring back so many memories. I have to be careful listening to them, that I don’t let them send me into a depression, wishing for what used to be. I’ve had such a rich life since those days, but those memories a bittersweet.

Hey Patricia what’s your favorite song
Hello 👋 how're you doing today??..
Love this music. ❤ I'm 77 years old and enjoy this era 🎉

Some of us do try Friend…. Be being kind and expressing gratitude every chance we get… or creating the opportunities.

So very sorry for your loss, happy that music gives a part of your father back to you. Hold that close, he's still with you kiddo.
I feel your pain. My dad died December 21st, 2002. I still cry when I think of him. He taught me so much and I miss him so very much. I have a black and white picture of a tree with a bench under it. I can almost picture us sitting and chatting.
He lives in ur heart and soul. He is still with you even if you can’t see him. Hugs
I listened to KRTH faithfully for the time I lived in LA.
When we moved to Nor Cal I found it online somehow 😀🎶

@C Milne I keep telling my friends and my mom to be nice to their kids lol. He helped me a lot when I was younger to think and be independent. He even taught me to drive my first car, a stick shift, while only having one arm. No abuse, but some arguments for sure. While I was younger I worked as a nurse's aid and with people who had head injuries, developmental disabilities, and dementia. I hope your step-kids are willing to take care of you and their mom as well, but just in case, plan ahead lol.

what was it like? If you don't mind me asking?

To bad that our society has changed to what it has become. Grew up in the 50s and 60s life was a lot different back then. When I'm sad I listen this music make me feel better
Realize that rap/hip hop and emo music isn’t all there is
Our grandads said this music was the best and new music is shit. We didn’t believe them but they were 100% right
Hello 👋 how're you doing today?...
So many great artists like Elvis Presley, and other artists you have featured on this video. Thank you so much for sharing them with all of us!
Same and I just turned 13
Samee my parents have blasted almost all of these songs multiple times (my parents were both born in the early 70's)

I'm 58 and when my Mom turned the music on or played vinal, 8 track, 45s. We would dance and do aerobics to the music. My Mother taught aerobics and she created an intense dance version. It was a blast. Awesome, far out, cool
Hello Susan, how are you doing, how is everything over there?
My mom was born in the 50s and I was her last baby at 38 I’m so glad my childhood was filled with Oldies I’m just not prepared to lose listen to these alone.. take me back to DQ listening to these Whitt my mom eating ice cream 😪 nostalgic
The agony of knowing that the golden era of music ended before you were born is unbelievable
Wonderful music. It's so sad that today's music is garbage.
I feel your pain - being 18 in gen z & wanting to be a baby boomer in the 50s & 60s sucks 😂
