BUT he's right, I learned every bit of it. I learned about the suspension components, engine, sensors that break oh so often and wrecks the car's idle. I also learned that we must choose good tyres and brake components no matter what cost, because it is one of the main factor of safety in a vehicle. Prior to all of this, I didn't know and didn't give a damn to any of it. Now, at least if I go to a new workshop, I know stuff, and can avoid kena kencing. I've seen a lot of people who doesn't care about their cars just because it's new and just send to SC and then complain why this expensive, why need to wait for so long, why air filter costs RM80. With some knowledge about these vehicles, we might find better and cheaper alternatives than the official OEM SC. I do agree though, that most fresh grads might not be able to afford a 2nd hand European car. The maintenance costs of such car is enormous. Even Bobby once complained about his Audi hahaha. I do agreed with your point Bobby... but there are things may need to consider as well... 1. Usually the aging miata or z4 to purchase it require large upfront cash or full cash term purchase (it will be difficult for fresh employee to fork out large amount of cash) 2. Interest rate will definitely high & loan% will be low based on car value & age. What is your suggestion for this solution? If borrow cash from friends (this will be difficult) If borrow from immediate family/relatives, will be difficult to convince (usually their parents will have difficulty for the upfront cash too, as it's saving for emergencies)
As a 'car guy' like me, i am with Bobby. Once in a life time, someone needs to own at least one sport car. Sometimes you just wanna feel it for just 2 years and sell it off. You need that to feel whats like to own and drive one. So buy used one and treasure it. You wont lose lots of money anyway. Do not modify your current incapable, slow car or put big gt wing on it ! Learn about cars instead and the used one is still good enough for the next 5 years. Knowledge is number one. Money is last as it will come along with knowledge applied.
I love this video... I understand what's happening... Now days car brands are the symbol who you are! No matter how rich you are but driving normal branded cars will be despised by certain things, I know many valet and jockey services will not entertain customers driving normal branded cars...
Worst advice ever. I drive a Honda city and I am already complaining. 1k loan repayment. When service another few hundred to 1k added on top of the 1k. Meaning you’ll be spending 2k in just that month. And that’s a damn Honda. Imagine servicing a bmw. You want to network? Go drinking instead. Go play sports. Pick up Golfing. Go to talks. Tons of different ways to network instead of spending stupid money. Invest it in yourself instead. Then again, I’ll take this episode as a joke.
May add, three more reasons: 1) accumulate some motor insurance NCB bonus among the first few years with a used car, 2) learn where to find reputable and honest workshops, 3) learn where to source for parts.

Better choice would be buy a used proton or perodua instead. Find a relatively new model 3 or 4 years. Range 30k below, apply loan or if you can take FAMA loan. You will save up a lot more if you take FAMA loan and you service that vehicle outside the Service Centre. Buy genuine parts at spare part shop and pay workshop for labour fees only. The problem with continental cars and the miata bobby is referring to in the above is not applicable to most people simply because parts are super expensive and when they breakdown you won't have another vehicle to use(plus contis are just not reliable in the first place). Lets be real here, not everyone comes from a rich family background with their mommy and daddy passing their wealth/buisness to them. Let alone provide them with a car that they can use while their car is in the workshop.

to the idiots watching that thinks this is real advice, no. this is sarcasm the kind that many prankster bosses like to give to young people hopefully as a form of reverse psychology. As you know many youngsters, when old people tell them no dont do this they tend to do the opposite, so this is where the bad advise should help those stubborn kids. Reality is, early 2000's used Z4s atm cost around 50k in mudah, and those things are famous for transmission issues and oil leak problem, to fix those cheapest is around 4k for tranny replacement and 5k ish for engine overhaul and theres no guarantee the problems are fixed permanently, some people report after doing those fixes the problem comes back again just a couple months later and they have to spend another 5k to fix them. Theyre endless money pits and will do nothing but make you poorer. also regarding networking, many bosses prefer to help young people who drive around in old saga, toyota and perodua because they see intelligence and humility. youre a young kid, just graduate with 3k monthly wage ofc you will drive a saga, the bosses seriously dont mind and willing to help you further so you can make more money and be able to upgrade your car. if you drive bmw more than likely the boss will have lower respect for you and worse, they have plans to make you suffer more like lowering your bonus and raise just to make you an example to others about proper financial management. moral of the story is, invest your money wisely and show off only when you deserve it. Stick to what you can afford.
Please la, your office maybe typical kia picanto fresh grads around, my office listed company's heirs come and intern and hardly openly speak about their backgrounds... Keep your 10-year old z4 far far away, meng-sia-sway-kan sendiri lol

Nope. You are paying slightly higher maintenance for yourself, in order to get to meet people who are completely out of your nornal circle of friends and colleagues. And why i pick z4 or mx5 the likes of these? First because this two car's prices no longer go down, oy up, so its an investment too. Secondly, these are cars that the rich might buy for fun to drive, and that's where you get to meet them, not for their koney, but for their experience, their thinking shapes your thinking in ways you never realise until one day you go out for reunion with your friends or colleagues who are complaining about bosses, bitching about colleagues etc, then you realised you've changed. 😎

If i listen to you i would not be 'rich' today. Dont listen to someone who buys a vol*o. Networking need not have a nice car to show off. If you are starting out spend money on self improving knowledge. When he is selling property he say lain. Blowing hot and cold. What a joke! My 2 sen.
Transport Minister says use public transport. He was serving me noodles at his brother's shop when he graduated. Look where he is now. Learn from Anthony.
Whats wrong with "someone buying a Volvo?"
Well the title did say 'Bad Buying Advice'
@@andrewlee4363 check the 2nd hand mart price.
@@quijr816 there're public transports and grab. Why need a car? Factor in maintainance, fuel, toll, tax and insurance, parking and etc. As long as a fresh grad is not guided properly it will be the pits for many years to come
For either of those cars, you'll need to put aside at least RM10K+ for potential r & m and be very good friends with yr trusted mechanic.
So find one where the owner already did the inevitble 10k fix hahaha
Where is the RUclips link of Bobby and beng's friend
used contis, you will start yor network at the workshops lol and your bank..probably make more grab driver friends while the thing is in the shop..dont waste time with unneccesary expensive useless cars as they are for posers...agree on a miata though..a clean well maintained example..hehe
thats brilliant idea that i never thought n i want a great circle
My dad cracked his rim on his BMW and had to ship a new rim which cost almost a thousand ringgit so i doubt he would let me get a z4
How bout getting an old 180sx
Legendary Bacc12 180sx will be much harder to find in the market compared to BMW Z4😂
@@PuteraMariff that is true tho but i would spend more time finding it since its my first car
Legendary Bacc12 If you are confident GO for it..As long as it makes you happy😁.I’m a big fan on JDM cars too!
@@PuteraMariff (^.^)
If we talking about new Z4 , time to get 2020 Supra .

Is it open to outsiders for coffee shop?
Ok now I can't sleep thinking about selling my Viva and buy an interesting car. Ayooo hahahaha think3 count3
Well if u had 3.5k basic then it may possible

Iam indian, a drop top would make me jadi charcoal
But ... if that's the argument, you should be least worry about getting darker isn't it? That's the defense me and Beng always put up "we're already dark anyways" haha
Bobby nk tanya prius c ok tak?any major problem
Ok tapi dia hybrid, berapa you beli pun, harga dia akan turun kelak. Kalau z4, harga takkan turun. Haha 🤣. Ok to behonest its a very nice car. But hybrid also means potential replacement cost next time.
THIS VIDEO IS SO WRONG BUT I LIKE IT
My situation is exactly the same like bobby said (currently driving 2010 City)
IM 21 still studying the first car im planing to buy is a fucking SUPER UNRELIABLE RX-8 ROTARY 9K,RPM its my dream car since im a kid. So my plan is buy it and then get fucked by my dad 🙃
(wish my dream wont get rekt next year)
Awesomr! That's the way to go!
Not the wisest choice. Fresh grad generally "cashless", how to afford the repairs? Sure they are cool and seems affordable but pls budget 5-10k aside for repairs annually thanks. Fresh grads, stick with your myvis pls, cars will always be there when u are ready :)
I don’t even graduate yet😂 and already drive a BMW 320i E46.Loved it the way it’s drive but not the roadtax which cost RM551..
How about an F56 Mini Cooper S JCW?
Yes of course
"chu yang" youtube link?
Maybe this advice not for all fresh grads.
This video shld hv came out in year-2001.. Lol
Love to visit dropthetop as I have a Z4 too :-)
to the idiots watching that thinks this is real advice, no. this is sarcasm the kind that many prankster bosses like to give to young people hopefully as a form of reverse psychology.
No. I mean it.
Please la, your office maybe typical kia picanto fresh grads around, my office listed company's heirs come and intern and hardly openly speak about their backgrounds... Keep your 10-year old z4 far far away, meng-sia-sway-kan sendiri lol
Lol. Offended.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia haha not really, just wanted to say, with determination one surely can get there, just be patient when starting out, cheers
Hi Bobby, how about an Austin mini
Exactly! Some minis are collected by rich dudes right? Then you get to meet them, different groups, different circles, valuable experience.
👍
@@BobbyAngmalaysia thank you
How would you tell them to convince their parents to buy these type of car.

Fresh grades should buy ISWARA, fight me
I agree buddy, not all the fresh grades will get 3k salary at the beginning... bad advice
Kinda of have point
Interesting bobby, but not a good advice for youngsters
From the video title itself it sounds like a sarcasm to the current trend among the youngsters. Showing off the branded car just for the sake of getting attention 🤣
Bobby....You should've do this video 10 years ago....
Just buy a used Lexus is
Bobby, I’m too tall for said cars la bro 😂
The best Ajaran sesat advice 😂😂😂.
I like Specialty coffee
Buy a Z4???
Ok, 2020 Supra it is then...
Fresh grad only can afford bicycle
I agree with that networking that u may get BUT pls remember the cost of maintenance! U would end up 0 in the bank monthly ....🤪
Then borrow from friends ... 🤣😅
bmw z5 2010 RM 100,000 VERY EXPENSIVE
Bro... Why is Z4 only rm40k? Thanks
Ha ha ha. People who drive/own a Bently or Porsche goes to a regular workshop to repair a Miata meh?? I think U are trying to be SARCASTIC but it's not funny at all.
Lol youll be surprise
I service my cayenne at a regular workshop that services/repairs premium cars but recently I think they are way overcharging for labour and parts so I might just try a normal workshop for servicing
I thought you said too young. Oh that's his name.
