My third video of a trip to the Mississippi. I really wanted to fly lower to the locks, but the amount of Pelicans, Seagulls, and Ducks were to much of a risk.
You can't ever trust him damn birds, good decision not to go any lower. The more I fly the more I realize birds hate these drones. I've had more than a couple close calls myself. Great flight Gene, I have never been on the Mississippi. Looks like a beautiful river. Hope you have a great week my friend 👍
Thanks buddy, and no you can never trust those sneaky birds. I find that Swallows are the worst birds in my area for swarming the drone. The Mississippi changes size drastically as it flows South. It is fairly wide here, but gets much wider in certain areas.

I used my Mavic Air 2 my man. I had to sell my two older drones to buy this one, so it is all I have at this time. Thanks for your continued support my brother in the Aerial arts!

I launched twice from the little boat, and twice from the big boat. Surprisingly, it was easier on the little boat because it is all open. I hand launch and land all the time anyway, so it was pretty easy in calm water, and with a good captain at the helm.
No vacation for me, the Mississippi is only 45 minutes from me, and my brother has a boat docked in Dubuque. I haven't been able to be on the boat for years due to bad hips. I have new hips now, so I can do what I want again. Thanks for watching!
