- Hey my loves! I know Vlogmas is usually all about Christmas, but relax - I promise my vlogs will not be focused on Christmas unless we’re discussing why, as Muslims, we don’t celebrate it. 😊 I know today's vlog might not have been as exciting as you expected, but honestly, this is the reality of my days when I'm menstruating. Most of the time, I’m in bed, giving myself the much-needed relaxation that Allah has granted us during this time. 🌸
While I'm still in West Africa, I'm still getting used to the environment, culture, and way of life here. In Senegal, it’s super common for the women to mostly stay at home, so yeah, usually, I’m just at home, haha! It’s been a bit of an adjustment, but I’m embracing it and learning every day. 🙏🏽
As Muslims, we embrace the mercy and rest Allah has provided for us, and I’m using this time to recharge. It’s important to remember that taking care of ourselves is part of our faith! ✨

Hey aalia lately I’ve been feeling a pull to Islam the past few months and came across your videos. I just don’t know where to begin. Like I want to understand so bad but im so clueless and alone doing this that it’s lowkey overwhelming. I googled churches for Muslims lol and found a few Masjids in my area so ima start there. Im in Memphis TN btw. I don’t know the proper way to pray but I’ve asked for guidance and clarity on my journey as well ❤

Our personalities are very similar but when I went through some hardship, and became very introverted. Your vlogs are so refreshing and reminds me to be myself Alhamdulilah.
And YES, as reverts we definitely tend to look up to born Muslims, so when they don’t practice the way we long to practice and yearn to be closer to Allah it hurts🥹. No disrespect, It’s kind of hard to explain the feeling, but it’s deep.
